Really?  What episode was that?  Either I don't remember seeing it, or I hadn't seen the episode in question.  I'm a little bit behind in the Simpsons department.  I don't watch nor care for the newer Simpsons episodes, but the sad thing is, is that I hadn't yet see all of the earlier episodes.

Anyway, here's another season 14 episode idea:
Homer Goes to Space Again

Homer is sent into space once again.  Hijinks ensues in the space station.  There are also a plethora of guest stars in the space station.  Upon re-entry, the space shuttle gets burned up in the atmosphere upon re-entry.  As the pieces of the ship are spreading across the sky and hitting the ground, some of the pieces hit Rupert Murdoch and Gail Berman and kills them.  All rejoice.  The End.

Papal Bull

On a visit to the US, the Pope (out for an unaccompanied stroll) is accidentally run over by a drink-driving Homer. Because of his startling resemblance to His Holiness, Grandpa is drafted in to cover his son's back by pretending to be the Pope. Cue lots of "offensive", "risky", wacky hilarity as Grandpa inadverdently screws with Catholicism. The episode ends with it being revealed that the Pope was in fact miraculously okay, and Homer gets punished Vatican-style.

A Couch Clip Show

When the couch disappears (thanks to the antics of Bart and Milhouse) the family reminisce on all the different ways they used to run on the couch. About 4 minutes of actual plot.

SamuelXDiamond, that episode would be better if you call it "Holy Crap", but Family Guy already used it.

How about:
A clips show about past clip shows *shudders*

Yeah, it is getting pretty freaky.  I already partially predicted a season 14 plot without actually seeing the episode.  If it's this bad, just imagine how bad seasons 15 and 16 will be.  Time to run away!

Simpsorama

It starts off like a Futurama episode (including opening credits, and Professor Farnsworth decides to travel back in time to visit his parents. The PE crew pick the wrong era, and WTF! The Simpsons credits roll. It's breakfast as usual at Simpsons home, and that's when the PE crew pops in to create havoc with the locals.

Both parties decide to swap places, and hijinks ensue. Bart steals the PE ship and crash it into the Hudson river. Homer works for Mom, and he's happy that Mom remembers his name unlike Burns. Meanwhile, Zoidberg gets a job in the Kwik-e-mart for some reason, perhaps cuz his shell can stop bullets. Krusty hires sideshow Hermes since his hair vaguely resembles Sideshow Bob's and is not as dangerous. Yeah!

"When Aliens Attack Springfield"

The Simpsons go for a day at the beach, but it's ruined when alien spaceships appear and destroy everything.  Everyone in town is sent to fight them but the aliens are too powerful.  Finally, the Simpsons realize the aliens want to see an old television show and must act it out themselves to fool the aliens.

This episode of The Simpsons is praised as one of the best in years and wins an Emmy.  Because of this episode, The Simpsons is renewed for another decade.  No one notices or cares that it's actually Futurama's "When Aliens Attack" with Simpsons characters drawn over the Futurama characters.

Fox promises more stories in this new vein, including "I Dated a Robot in Springfield," "The Day Springfield Stood Stupid," and "Roswell that Ends Well in Springfield."

It looks like there's no chance of this coming true now, what with Marlon Brando dying and all.

"Lisa the Atheist"

Lisa, fed up with herself, becomes an Atheist, and is killed by Flanders. Then Marge kills herself, leaving Bart, Homer and Maggie alone.

In the season finale, you could have the episode be about how Homer discovers the truth, and seeks revenge against Flanders.

"Beeswax in your Ears"

An entire episode dedicated to the plight of Bumblebee Man. I stopped watching Simpsons regularly a few years back, so tell me if it's been done or not. Seems the way that show is going anyways...develop subplots on miscellaneous secondary, tertiary, etc. characters...sigh I want Futurama back...18 years my god Maggie should be out drinking...
