*I checked the TV and Human Resources forums, and found nothing on this topic. (Although I didn't look past the first page in the Search Results.) So if it was already done, someone can feel free to close this.
And this is probably in the wrong forum, but on that point, I'm not sure.*

*Anyway, enough with all that stuff. Who do you think is the best cartoon character couple in recent cartoon history? (Past 10 years.) I put in all the couples I can remember, but if there are some I forgot, select 'Other', and please post a reply saying who you think are the best couple. (Try to be impartial.)
And they have to actually have some sort of history. Nothing one-time like Professor and that Fat Woman from "300 Big Boys." Or Bart and that minister's daughter.*

Jinto and Lafiel, from Crest of the Stars.

This probably belongs in the TV forum.

I think really this thread should be moved to the TV thread part. To me I think that Homer and Marge are the best. I love those episodes on how they met in high school, fell in love and got married and had three wonderful kids. They are my best couple.

What does impartial mean?

Presumably, in this context it means that you should pick the couple that you think is the best couple, not just a couple from your favorite show or a couple that contains your favorite character.

Stan and Wendy from the early series of South Park, it was so cute how he kept puking over her  :)

Nothing says "I love you" more than puking on a woman's blouse!  :laff:

Homer and Marge.  Much as I love Futurama, the Fry/Leela dynamic was often pretty flawed writing wise, usually sticking with the formula of presenting everything from Fry's point of view and having him constantly try and fail to acquire the "object" of his obsession, Leela.  Only "The Sting" really even tried to reverse that trend.  Homer/Marge episodes have their formulas as well but overall I think they're a better written and better formed "couple".  Mind you I still ultimately enjoy both.

Well, it's "recent" history, so that knocks out all the Futurama cast.  (The show ended over a year ago, and those episodes were holdovers from a year previous.  It's no longer 'recent.')  In the same vein, the relationship between Homer and Marge is repetitive in newer episodes.  So I'll go with Yuki and cast my vote for The Venture Brothers's Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend.

{on Dr. Girlfriend's old costume}
The Monarch:  "What are you wearing?  Is that your old costume?  Oh my god...I can see your dirty pillows!!
Dr. Girlfriend:  "Well, you didn't seem to have a problem with it when you met me..."
The Monarch:  "That's because I had you out of that rag within five minutes of meeting you.  I made you the Monarch's!!"
Dr. Girlfriend: "YOU ARE A MONSTER!!"
The Monarch:  "Wait....I meant that romantically...."

Recent, as in the past few years. (If I meant completely recent, then only Simpsons would count. And a few others, of course.)

Hard decision. But I'll go with Fry and Leela.

Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable.  I put them on the same level as Fry and Leela.  Only difference is that Kim and Ron have known each other longer than Fry and Leela.  However, Fry and Leela have kissed each other more times.

It is a tough call and I can't decide.

Huh. I never really saw them as a couple. But they are a cute pair. No romance between them ever occured to me, though, and I thought the lack thereof was refreshing.

Are you talking about Kim and Ron?  they are so a couple to be.  I've seen many episodes that hint this and from reading comments of KP fans on tvtome, it looks like they may be together in their series finale, "So Not The Drama".

Many KP fans have said that Kim and Ron really care about each other.  One fan noted that Kim cried for the first time on the show after thinking Ron died in the Christmas episode.  They ended up kissing under the mistletoe.  Something Fry and Leela weren't able to do because of Robot Santa.  Another fan noted that Ron showed how much he really cared about Kim when he saved her from blushing herself to death and from when she was turning into a monkey.

Of course there was also that episode "Emotion Sickness" that made KP fans go wild.  That was like Futurama episode THAIPT for them.  I felt sort of the same way.
