I recently purchased the Brain Slug squishy toy. I was wondering how many episodes the Brain Slugs have made appearances in? I know they were in the season 2 episode A Head in the Polls where Nixon's head buys Bender's body. Was that the first appearance? And which episode did we learn that the Brain Slug attached to Fry dies? Thanks for any help.

I would help with the list, but I'm too lazy.  <IMG SRC="http://peel.gotfuturama.com/ubb/tongue.gif">

The name of that episode was "Raging Bender".

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are only in "Raging Bender" and "A Head in the Polls"

Well, I know its not an episode, but the brain slug was also in the game.

It was once again attached to Hermes in the first level.

There's a Brain Slug in the #1 comic as well, there's a (joke) ad for removing Brain Slugs.

i dont think so.

didnt the commentary say how the brain slugs were supposed to play a big part in the series, but they decided that they werent as funny as they thought they would be, so they got rid of them?

I thought they were funny, but probably not enough to show up more than just a few times.

And is it just me or do they look slightly similar to those two aliens from The Simpsons?

i don't think they look like kang and kodos, they look more like those aliens from route of all evil, the ones that dwight and cubert were afraid of, and got kicked out of bording school for beating up, and ate many things

Now question, I just watched Raging Bender yesterday and if the Brain Spawn had no effect on Fry's brain why did the sslug manage to suck on him?

The Brain Spawns have no effect on Fry because he lacks the Delta Brain Wave.
I've always assumed that the brain slugs live off of general brain waves, and die if they don't get enough of it.   :p

They said that they were going to have Hermes with a brainslug for an entire season but they determined he was funnier with a Jamaican accent than in monotone.

"Hey where's Fry's brain slug?"
"Poor little thing died of starvation."
