What would you change about the characters if you could wave your magic wand?

(1) I'd reduce Leela's fanatic devotion to animals. That's one thing about her that would annoy me after a while. Now if I get out of the mindset of being/meeting/dating characters (which I do all too rarely) then the cute animal fixation doesn't bother me that much; she could rationalize eating a dolphin and aren't they cute?

(2) I'd give Zapp a slightly longer skirt. (And more lines!)

I would make Fry be skinny.  Really skinny!  Not to the point of anorexia, though.

That's the only thing I would change.

I would put the Robot Devil in more episodes where he has a main part!

I would make leela  Fry.

Also to agree with HipNoJo - give zapp way more eps with him being main (and what are you saying a longer skirt? TROUSERS PLEASE!)

I would make Zoidberg a little more respected/liked, I enjoyed the part where Fry said to Zoidberg: "I used to think you were cool", give the Crustacean turkey of the sea some respect he deserves it from his great personality and funniness    :D. He doesn't deserve to have bones, rubbish etc thrown at him constantly...   :(

I'd tone down Bender's in-your-face-interface. Bender's great. Really. But there were too many Bender-centric episodes. If he was toned down a little, then maybe we could concentrate on the characters around him.

Shippers should be nodding in agreement right about now.

*nods in agreement*

I think there should be less bender centric eps. I was a bit annoyed when i found out the movie was going to be called Bender's Big Score. I hope it's not like Obseletly (sp?) fabulous or Bend-her where it's nearly ALL bender.

Rather than making a change, I would undo one; namely the change in Kif's personality after he started dating Amy. Get rid of the pathetic, whining lapdog/doormat we saw develop after AWitM and bringback the sarcastic, passive-aggressive smartass from LLLiS.

Oh and fix Morris and Munda's personality on TMLH mode rather than LTH mode.

Wow, three posts in a row I totally agree with; a first in the annals of my short history at PEEL.

Bender is great, but he's the greatest when he's reacting to others' plight - by laughing or trying to turn a quick buck. I too am a little anxious about the Bendercentric title for the upcoming stuff, but I'll take it in any form they're dishing it out.

Kif was awesome as the "real Spock" reacting to Zapp's unearned arrogance. I bet returning him to that personality would be one of the most popular changes among Peelers.

"Bender's Big Score" may just be a tentative title, either to throw us off track or give us something to mull over until the actual title is released.  As I recall, a handful of the episodes started off under completely different names (for example, I believe TMLH was originally called "Futurama Babies" ), so it's not that far of a stretch.  The movie sounds fairly shipper-heavy anyway, if DXC's latest interview is anything to go by, so I wouldn't be too worried about Bender dominating it just yet.

Anyway, Teral already covered the one major change I'd make (Kif), so my second choice would be to make Cubert less of the stereotypical sitcom preteen and more of the snarky, sarcastic bastard he was in "A Clone of My Own."  I may not have liked him much back then, but at least he had a better purpose that season.  Incidentally, I'd like to see Dwight's character fleshed out beyond the roles of Hermes' son and Cubert's lackey.  I think he's got the potential to stand out on his own, but from what little we've seen of him, it seems as though he only exists as an extention of Cubert and/or Hermes.

Oh, and this isn't a requested change so much as a requested constant, but for the love of Mom, if they're going to bring Seymour back as a character, keep him in the past!  Bringing him back to life in the 31st century would only tarnish the ending of JB.

Ditto on bringing back the old Kif.  The bitterly sarcastic Kif was much superior to the pussyfied Kif that we saw towards the end.

True. And I hope the first movie isn't too shipper-heavy. After all, they've got four movies, they ought to pace themselves.

I concur whole heartedly!

I don't like Kif's character at all but the passive aggressive one was actually, don't want to admit it, but quite funny and likable... If only they changed him back to his golden days of Loves Labors Lost In Space  :nono:

I agree. I love JB. if they brough semour back to life in the future then whenever i watch JB i'd just think 'well he's coming back anyway.' it would be nowhere as touching.
