( The TARDIX wheezes in, sounding like a 1975 AMC Gremlin trying to start on an extremely low battery) ( The door opens, and The Good Ol' Country Doctor hops out) ( He locks the door with his sonic screwdriver shaped like a pipe, then turns to face all the pretty shippers) ( He tips his imaginary hat) Hallo, yawl! I've a just been glancin' over this here thread, and I've done deemed it worthy of a few shippy quotes an' all that standard kaboodle an' whatnot. So I've been scourin' over hell and half o' Georgia, and here's what I done come up with. There I think we are, yes indeed. Now, ain' that awe bringin'? Yes. Ain't it the truth. Ain't it awesome... An' a shippy quote, for that doubter or two- ( Glares at somebody) - Yes, I mean you-- Who's been thinkin' thoughts to the con-ter-ary... Thanks. These aren't pockets, they're just flaps. I put my money in my sock.
[Giggles] Levity that Leela needs, no doubt 'bout that, none a' all, nope. Now, if you'll all 'scuse me, I've got to be goin' now. I've gotta make it to a 'Coronation Street' premire in the year 6580. (It's s'pposed to be the best season eveh, you know...) Pax vobiscum, yawl! ( The Good Ol' Country Doctor bows slightly at the waist towards the gentlemen and tips his imaginary hat towards the ladies) ( He swirls around and unlocks the TARDIX , and enters) ( It wheezes into nothingness) ( A flutter of wind passes down the silent thread...) ------------------ Vworp... Vworp...

Hi, a question that I think is shippy related, and I don't think has been fully covered in these forums. During the episode "The Sting," Leela opens a box of Memories of Fry, listed in this link. I've always assumed that the items symbolically represented significant milestones in the Fry/Leela relationship (as considered by the writers). Easy ones: -Daisy from Why of Fry; -Candy heart from Love and Rocket; -Magnent from "Series has Landed," recalling that very nice lunar lander bonding moment; -pi-in-one oil can, reflecting the nice kissing scene and Fry's rescue of the crew in "Insane in the Mainframe," -Emperor of Trisol spoon, recalling Fry and Leela's first major fight in My Three Suns, and where it is shown that the only thing that makes Fry cry is the loss of Leela--(and getting slapped in the face, stomped on the foot, etc. ). But I admit, the Slurm can and Fry's moustache defeat me, because they are related to episodes that I never thought as being significant Leela/Fry relationship milestones (in fact, Cryonic Woman is really an anti-ship episode, where Fry can't even recall how he first met Leela!). Can someone more obsessed with minutiae than I share some thoughts (or refer a thread) on how the last two objects might logically fit in? (and yes I know it is just a dream sequence, but hey...) I suppose the shattered vase from "Parasites Lost" or "Time slippin'" would have been too sensitive a memory.. but I'm a little suprised nothing from the "Titantic" or "War is the H-word" was in there. Thanks!

Drunk? Who's drunk? What, me? No, no. I've been high on chocolate before, but never drunk. That was just my alter-ego, The Good Ol' Country Doctor. He's a bit like me, actually, except that he has a heavy South Georgian accent instead of a slight cockeyed Cockney. He travels around in his Time Machine/Spaceship called the TARDIX, and uses it to visit great moments in television and literary history. That's how he knew FuturamaPac was going to post that framegrab. Right now I think he's watching the return of 'Keeping Up Appearances' in the year 14,685. I'm not sure though... He can be a bit protective of his schedule... Originally posted by Professor Zoidy:
How a moustache is really important is really kinda a hard thing to answer. I don't recall him ever having one in an episode, but I admit it's been a while since I watched an episode (shame on me, I know)so could have easily forgotten. He did keep it in his wallet, remember? And welcome back, Coldangel. Nice to see you. Don't go filling the thread up faster than I can read, Ok?

Fry and Leela get into a serious relationship, maybe Fry even moves in with Leela, Bender'd be left high and dry, feeling abandoned and unwanted. It'd be an angle to build a story on anyway. That's an arc that I'm sure that the POWERS THAT BE have in mind. The series (which was never cancelled) stopped before Groening and company could run all arcs. The last season you can tellthat they rushed the series to close a lot of arcs. I'm sure they deliberately left the last episode as indefinite to the Leela/Fry romance in case the series somehow got reserected. There's so much security around the new eps and the DVD's it's almost insane. I would not be surprised to see another Leela/Fry arc in which they get serious with each other leaving choas with the rest of the cast. Bender would show his cruel manipulative side to derail the romance, just so he could yell in glee: "NOW I'M ALL YOU'VE GOT!That's my opinion, and should be yours too, and probably already is!
