http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9zJXImgKMM Watch this, so so shippy, and if you've all seen it before then I'm sorry.
I despised all the flashing to the beat - extremely annoying and pointless, wasted effort - but other than that I liked it. Especially the fact that there was a range of clips from different episodes. I've only really seen ones with clips from The Sting and TDHAIPT. It gets old, but finally one uses Parasites Lost which I think is my favorite shippy epside. And Pazuzu's right, we need more shippy stuff to discuss. Have you all seen my thread of shippy pics? And your siggy so cute! Any shippy things to discuss...hmmm Missed shippy opportunities in episodes..? 1. In 'That's Lobstertainment' Fry and Leela were stuck in the Planet express ship for a (week or so?) and we were hardly given any insight to what they were doing, what sexual or romantic tension insued inside. Grr! 2. In the Cyber House Rules, I would have liked to have seen a little more jealousy from Fry. Leela was thinking of having a child with Adlai and Fry didn't bat an eyelid at that! Just some ideas... did we discuss this already...? It seems somewhat familiar...

My head would have exploded after a few hours. I don't see how Fry can work around his dreamgirl when she's in combat boots. Put her in an evening gown slit all the way up her thigh and...! (BTW, that would make a great new episode: the lost week in the tar. It could start and end with actual clips from Lobstertainment of them getting stuck and then emerging but in between spend the whole episode on them going through a range of emotions as they react to one another. "Wuthering Heights" with just two characters. Sort of a "My Dinner with Andre" with romantic tension and inuendo.)2. Fry did react pretty strongly when the tall handsome doctor first came around the PE building and again two or three other times. You could chalk it up to his general take-it-or-leave-it attitude, but I think his lack of reaction at that moment may just have been to give other elements of the story some space to develop.

I've confused myself. I do want F&L together, i just feel sorry for Fry having to wait so long. Leela should take him now or else Fry will eventually get bored and Find himself a GF who likes him. That's what i was trying to say . also that i think leela is quite mean. There are people like Zapp, adali, sean... who come in do one think that impresses her and wins her over but fry seems to do amazing things for her all the time and she, for some reason, can't love him even though he's a million times better than the rest of her BF.

I don't hate leela. I just don't see how she can refuse to date Fry when she dates jerks like, zapp, adlai, chaz... on a related point - is anyone watching Primeval? if not DO. I need another series and it's amazingWell Fry/Leela remind me of Connor/Abby. Connor is a bit of a dork/geek. Abby is independant, loves animals. Connor really loves abby. You can tell Abby kinda likes Connor but whenever somethying is about to happen eg hug kiss... this dude called Steve who abby likes gets in the way, even though Steve is a jerk He flirted with Abby while he had another gf and connor is so sweet he saved her single handedly from a mosasaurSo what i'm trying to say is - watch Primeval And that it's not that i hate Leela, i just find her... difficult and annoying. Watch Primeval - It's sorta over now but hey...(It has dinosaurs!)

Fry's sweet, caring, loyal, and pretty much the best guy for Leela that we've been introduced to in the series so far. But he does have flaws that could easily repel a woman like Leela. It's ovious Leela quite likes fry. It's obvious Fry really likes Fry so i can't see how they can't get together without being forced into it. Leela would have to lower her standards when it comes to men(which may be a good thing actually). She'd have to give up the man in her dreams who's ambitions have lead him to working in the senate, as well as a man who's also a romantic who loves and cares for her like nothing else. - Fry's the latter, but his ambitions are so low it naturally turns Leela off. He's a horrible slob, but I'm not sure if it's the messiness that Leela dislikes. Maybe just the fact he takes long breaks between showers... At some point he'll meet Leela's minimum expectations ("All I want is a boyfriend who when you go out with him no one says he's crummy." ) and maybe in Devil's Hands he did.
Well, people would still see him as crummy, (he's now well known for the crappy 'world's best opera') but Leela doesn't. And probably doesn't care anymore at this point what others think. She's not ashamed of her parents at all, so I could easily see her not caring anymore about what other people think of her boyfriend/husband. She's grown out of it. I hope.

Leela was thinking of having a child with Adlai and Fry didn't bat an eyelid at that! * sigh* You little rascals floating around here. You've lost the touch, you have. Shiny, send me your spirit, please! [ Silence] Ok, maybe I'll just wing this. One step at a time, eh? A certain Average-Looking Guy whom I will not name asks Leela to have children with him. Has Leela entirely forgotten where children come from? This is the only blemish upon an otherwise exemplary episode. It could just be a joke on the tendency of women to put all other concerns aside when it comes to offspring, I don't know. But I can't say I found it very funny. So anyways, Leela agrees. Now, where do children come from? You can bet your genitalia, two livers and spleen that Fry's jealous! But before he can get too far into his anger at the Certain Average-Looking Guy who's gonna be making love to his woman, Bender's phone rings. Turns out they're gonna adopt a child instead. Ok, not so bad, but still not ideal. Fry, being the devious-at-times kind of guy he is, thinks up a way to save the orphans from misguided Bender and save his girl from The Certain Average-Looking Guy Who Doesn't Give an Electrocuted Dingleberry About the Real Her at the same time. Fry gives an anonymous tip-off to the police just when he hears that the couple is acomin' over. Now, his only job is to sit back with a forced non-nonchalant look on his face until the Time of Arrival. “Leela, there's nothing wrong with anything.” There certainly isn't, kiddo. Oh, yes, now I remember. I've now officially seen all of the Futurama episodes! I just watched That's Lobstertainment, and to tell you the truth, it's not all that bad. I mean, from reviews, it ranked down with A Leela of Her Own, which I agree, wasn't very good. But Lobstertainment? That was wonderful! But then I realized what the problem was...
Fry and Leela were trapped alone on the ship for four entire weeks and nothing happened!
Terrible episode, terrible! Originally posted by fryandlemon:
Oooh! That would make a great episode! Hmmm, someone should write a fanfic.. Originally posted by Decapodian:
Xanfor would probably write that.... Gēnēus. Pure gēnēus. I will work on that, unless someone else wants to. Fascinating... I've complained about that episode previously, but I just thought it was bad scripting. Never occurred to me that there may be a back story... Maybe tic-tac-toe means something more than tic-tac-toe, hm?...

Dammit, that's my story idea and my stuff about tic-tac-toe from like two months ago when I first saw the episode. You're quite welcome to write though.
