True he made a pass at her in FTR, but I didn't take it as that serious. Season 1 had several of the "Fry and Leela melt together and almost kiss until they're interrupted" moments, which i viewed as sort of a subconscious thing, as well as Fry liking to "hang out" with Leela in PYHOMS. I think it took until PL for Fry to really figure out how special Leela was to him.

Speaking of War is The H Word, in that episode Leela kinda showed she liked Fry by asking whether the girls he liked was Cyclops or Chinese.
In other words, it was like she wanted to know if he liked her or Amy.

I certainly thought her reaction to Fry saying "cyclops" had at least a hint of mutual attaction in it. Leela's a master at the cold, dismissive tone of voice ("Perhaps. What's your point" in L&R -so cold, so very cold!), but there's nothing dismissive in her delivery of "Aw, she sounds sweet." She could have taken the opportunity to steer him away from cyclopses or just responded with an emotionless acknowledgement of his answer, but she served up a really sweet one there.

I think anything Leela had built up was ripped down and blown up after TKOS. Also in the episode right after that she was pretty fluent when Fry asked her if he could do "anything" in the world.

I'd like to know what Leela really thought he was saying there......

Not to put any doubt on Xanfor's composing abilities, of course; I just thought this song was fairly well-known.
