Perhaps because Fry is so easygoing he's almost comatose most of the time, it takes something like amputation to shake him up and get some emotional angst going. Plus, a limb hitting the ground with a splat like a dropped rib roast is unexpected...and therefore funny (in animation, anyway). But I don't understand "p!$$-weak but indestructable." Resilience IS a form of strength. (Or are you saying his p!$$ is weak because he drinks American beer?  )

That was the best gag in the whole film, it's the most hilarious gag Zoidberg's ever done intentionally. Oh, and it's not always Fry that cops it. In Anthology of Interest #1 in Leela's section alone, everybody else gets 'got' except Fry, who more or less scores.  Eaten Alive.  Radiation [image of Amy's dead deceased corpse unavailable] Cause of Death Unknown  Speared  Boiled  Conclusion left to our imaginations... death by snoo-snoo?
