By "win" are you actually using the true meaning of the word as in "Who would win in a fight?" or "Who would win in court?" or do you mean the more PEELified use as in "Who do you like more?"

This thread is...not pointless.  I'm impressed, jerkberg.  Even if you did misspell one of the names.  Anyhow, I voted Hyperchicken since he's based on two of the greatest lawyers ever: Atticus Finch and Matlock.  And he's a gigantic green chicken.

In a legal fight, I would say it would have to go to Hyperchicken, despite his gross incompetence.  I mean, Hyperchicken is stupid, but Stephen-bloody-Hawking compared to Hutz, the man who didn't know if he'd get paid if he lost a case, AND showed up at a trial without pants.

However, my favorite is Hutz.

I voted for Hutz because I think he would probably win in a legal battle.  He's totally incompetent, but probably a little more with it than the Hyperchicken.  The Hyperchicken would probably win in a fight, though.  As for which one I like better, that's a tough call.  Hutz has the advantage of having appeared in more Simpsons episodes than the Hyperchicken was in Futurama episodes, which means that he had a chance to get more good lines.  On the other hand, the fact that the Hyperchicken is a giant alien chicken is definitely worth some points.

I think they're both great! but i voted for chickin. they both had their moments like when hutz came into court with no trousers and then called up "Dave" and said he loved him. But hyper chicken is a giant green chickin and his voise is funny

The first step is admitting it.

Another reason why the Hyperchicken is the better character in my mind is that a giant blue chicken just seems right for a lawyer, especially a Southern one. Reminds me of a legal eagle.

im going for Lionel Hutz here, i love the Hyperchicken and all, but i love the 'I'm not wearing a tie at all' scene too much for Hutz not to win

I'd have to go for the Hyperchicken. Has Hutz actually won any cases? Whereas the Hyperchicken managed to get Fry and Bender off jail time for that bank robbery. Although Fry would probably have prefered hard time........... Still i'd go for the chicken

Lionel Hutz was voiced by Phil Hartman.  Any Phil Hartman character automatically trumps any non-Phil Hartman character.

Also, comparing Futurama characters to Simpsons characters makes the baby Jesus cry.  Stop it.

ahhh i couldn't decide.. I think Lional Hutz is the best for the 90's... and the Hyperchicken is the best for the year 3000.

Better yet..the hyperchicken's ancestors could have mutated from lional hutz!
I mean..why else would the hyperchicken want to be a lawyer? He coulda been a corn farmer...

He won Chester Lampwick's suit against Roger Myers Jr. in "The Day the Violence Died."  Homer's suit against The Frying Dutchman in "New Kid on the Block" might also count, but that ended up being settled out of court, so I don't know.

How do you know if he's based on Atticus Finch and Matlock? Is it your own opinion, or did someone mention it on the commentaries, or is it some other official source? If so, please tell me where to find it.
