The video game isn't canon. The episodes are. Simple as that.

The more nerd explanation (although the word canon is pretty nerdy in and by itself): Farnsworth is old, mad and senile. He's senile so he forgot his real age and he's mad/megalomanical so ofcourse he compares himself to god. He was dog god once, he just took a step up the ladder.

Well, the dog is mans best friend so naturally their gods would be buddy-buddy too.

Yeah, quite often in games of shows/movies they make up stuff which doesn't seem right.  With the exception of games like Enter The Matrix which is designed too tie in with the movies, it is best just to ignore and errors like this.

Or maybe when he fell into the fountain of aging he become as old as God. He did say that he was even older than before.

And I don't think you can dismiss mistakes in the game that easily since the script was written by J. Stewart Burns and Matt Groening and David X. Cohen both worked on the game too. It's not like the line was written by some games developer who hardly watched the show.

Okay, let's try this again.  It was hyperbole.

If you're carrying something really heavy you might say, "This weighs a ton."  Does that mean that it really weighs a ton?  Of course not.

Likewise, if the Professor says that he's as old as God, that doesn't mean that he's literally as old as God.  It just means that he's really old.  161 years old is pretty old for a human, after all.

Get it now?  It's not an error.  It's hyperbole.

David's right. that quote wasn't meant to be taken literally.

so it's either hyperbole or a throw away joke (cartoons generally have jokes that aren't in relation to the cartoon reality).... either way foget aboudit!
