Notice in 'The Honking' Calculon says that he was all of histories great acting robots; Acting Unit 0.8, Fespomatt, David Duchovny. I know this was a joke about his acting skills, but in SP3000 he makes a very brief appearance as a head in a jar nearby to Matt Groening and Barbara Streishand.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before somewhere.  Anyway, I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.  But I bet Teral, or somebody, could come up with a perfectly plausible explanation.

...which is a true human head. You know- for plausibility (although the animatronics are still stiff). We beat Teral to it- I cannot believe it.

Or maybe it was the clone of David Duchovny as stated in the X-Files episode in season 7 where Agent Mulder comes upon the clinic at which Scully's eggs (and presumably some of his dna) were stolen.....

Maybe Calculon only controlled David Duchovny's body - hence why his head is still in tact?

Perhaps the human Duchovny was killed and Calculon took his place... with nobody the wiser.  You know, to avoid high contract payments. or something.

Maybe Calculon decapited him and the Robot Devil switched their heads. And switched them back when he got the messapge that no one likes David Duchovny.

Then again - the Futurama crew interupted Calculon while he had just finished saying "Duchovny." For all we know, he might have just been about to say David Duchovny-bot.

Or David Duchovny II, III or any other actor ancestors that he hopefully doesn't have.

I like him too. But he is a horrible actor, you have to admit that.  :laff:

And old quote, but one I still like:

Quote from SFX:
Didn't David Duchovny spend the first two years of the X-Files trying to figure out why every episode was called "The Truth is Out There?"
