Well, when Leela shows up to buy the swim with Mushu, Fry is also there buying a cup of coffee. Why in the world is he there?
Simply to keep the plot moving? I think not!
He was stalking Leela. We all knew he would, sooner or later...

What's wrong with spending time with your friends? Maybe he went with her to get that whale sized coffee or just to hang out. She seemed happy that he was there anyway.

Even though she won't agree to a romantic relationship, he is still her closest friend. So it makes sense that she would hang out with him. Besides if he were stalking her she wouldn't have been sitting beside him or smiling at him.

Plus, if he is serious about winning her heart stalking her is the least intelligent thing he could ever do. It's 100% guaranteed to make Leela shun him forever.

I assume he got restless from the high caffeine-level in his blood, anf couldn't sit still. No bathroom breaks, his accelerated metabolism consumed it all.

I like to think that Fry and Leela at the Aquarium is a continuation on the date from TFP, but hey, it's prolly just a friend thing. My bigger concern is how someone could be sitting that still on cup 4 or 5 of coffee...I had eight one night and started seeing neon colors  ...and then I peed all night long  _
