Bender's antenna is out of sight.

Is Leela giving him a blowjob?

There was even more tender moment between Bender and Leela, if you think over the final joke of 7ACV16...

Maybe it's because I may not be much of a romantic (I do appreciate the Fry/Leela relationship, though, it adds an important depth to the show) but I don't think the interactions between Bender and Leela are anything more than them becoming closer, more affectionate friends. Leela and Fry are clearly in a very committed relationship, and I think that it makes sense that because of that, she's growing closer to Fry's closest friend, and he to her. Yes, they had that moment at the end of the last episode but Leela was under the impression that that was Fry. (Does anyone else think that it's really odd that Leela didn't realize it was Bender?)

I highly doubt it's going to go any farther than the occasional affectionate nudge. The writers love messing with the fans, remember.

I find it odd that no-one realised anything Bender did.

No, UnrealLegend, it's not a blowjob aha.

What you said does make sense though, MYK, but who knows if they're messing with us, but I still got a feeling that it's in a very different way.

I want to clear this up right now, I am not a shipper. I do not have strong feelings for Fry and Leela's relationship, nor the Bender-Leela interactions. I found them to be quite interesting, but nothing more. I shared this so I could get somebody elses point of view/opinions of the weird Bender-Leela interactions.

I was never a shipper, and I doubt that I ever will be, hence explaining why I didn't put this on the Human Research Department, along with the other shipper stuff.

There's nothing romantic going on with Leela and Bender. For me, that's why those little moments work so well - because they're so out of character they make you laugh. Bender and Leela holding hands during Calculon's monologue was funny because they were so unlikely to be affected. The audience did as big a double take as they did. :D

That was also why I found their makeout in this episode so funny. I don't think Bender gets the appeal of Leela at all. He always thought Amy was cute, but has never hesitated to poke fun of Leela's appearance. ("Chesty McNag-Nag", "One cantelope-sized bloodshot eye? You ain't winning no beauty pageants, lady".) He's not attracted to her, but he was desperate and the logic in play is appropriate for a robot - especially one as amoral as Bender. Keeping Leela happy physically is what Fry does, so Bender does it. :laff:  Protecting Fry's relationship by making out with his girlfriend. It's twisted, but funny.

Indeed.
The episode's ending was:
"Fry gets credit for Benders actions", though it was kept on business level, earning him the "Employee of the month award". While Fry certainly would not mind getting an undeserved reward too much, the authors needed some final punchline. The make-out-session kept up the "Fry getting undeserved praise for Bender's actions" theme, yet -as ending punchline- this time in an obviously unwanted way.

I suspect that getting nasty with a chick he can barely stand to cover his ass is just the kind of morbid good deed Bender is capable of.

Exactly. Bender treats Fry really badly most of the time, but Fry doesn't seem to care. ("He decided not to let go" / "Bender would never share!" / pretty much all of The Honking).

In fact, when Bender does decide to express his love for Fry, Fry usually ends up wishing he hadn't. Like the time humanity got into "heaven" in BwaBB, and Bender harpooned Yivo and dragged Fry back to Earth. Actually, it's generally a disaster when Bender does something nice. When he tries to help (suggesting a deal with the devil in TDHAIP) ; when he misses Fry (haunting him in Ghosts in the Machines) ; when he cooks for his friends (30% Iron Chef) ; and when he stops Fry's girlfriend worrying about his absence in this episode  . . . by pretending to be Fry and making out with her. :laff:

Eh Um.....More of the Leela-Bender interaction.......Coincidence?

The Professor kissed Bender after that, part of a joke though possibly.
