Okay, here's a thread for all of you who have noticed tiny little mistakes, which aren't important enough to get their own thread.

Did anyone notice that in "How Hermes Requisitioned his Groove Back", the little dealer's shade thingy over his eyes disappeared for no reason?  Also, Hermes finishes about 2 MINUTES early, but Beurocrat 1.0 says he only had 2 seconds!  I am demoting him for having an innacurate watch!

So, what tiny mistakes has everyone else seen?

Funny, was thinking about starting a thread like this myself after finding this in Fry and the Slurm factory.

Here we see the Slurm contest sign for the first time:

and, after a closeup of Fry we pull back to show the sign again. Notice anything different?

In "The Series Has Landed" we learned that Bender doesn't like magnets but in "A Flight To Remember" he's wearing a magnetic bow tie.

And, of course, not seeing Nibbler and the guy in the Cryo chamber wearing glasses in "Anthology of Interest I" has been discussed to death.

If you go to http://palmy.net.nz/futurama  there is a section dedicated to mess ups like that. I submitted quite a few. It's in the weird scenes section.

In 'The Deep South' the Professor says that Fry "will be crushed if he leaves the ship because of the pressure" when Bender, Leela, Amy, Zoidberg, Bender, and the Professor go looking for Fry they just have water breather things on and are not crushed at all

He asks if they took their pressure pills, remember? Amy even says "Yes, stop ASKING!".

Because they all use the Professor's pressure pill. A nice, cosy, supository! That and Bender's a robot and can stand the pressure.

After this thread died (three years ago), this other thread was eventually started for the same purpose.  We probably don't need both.

Actually, Superfry, Hermes said that the pressure would "Crush you like a green snake under a sugarcane truck." The Professor just introduced the concept of an anti-pressure suppository. That's the wrong kind of mistake to point out in a thread about mistakes that happen in the show, but I just like Hermes' green snakes, all right?

Although I get a headach reading your post, yes it's pointed out in the comentaries that only a magnet on benders head (or forehead) screws him up.....

ooy and oxygengiver2000 please note the age of this thread. Plank and r hawks haven't posted  the last 1½, so I don't think addressing them will do much good. Then again, maybe they'll come back, so something good can come from this.

Since this thread isn't closed (yet?) I'd like to point out that in Time Keeps On Slippin', when the basketball games takes place, there is some guy sitting to Amy's right though he hadn't been sitting there a few screens before. In fact there hadn't even been a chair before.

What about the chair that magically appeared in Bender Gets Made for Bender to pretend to be hostage on? That was weird.

In TDTESS, when Fry says 'Brains make people smart.' Hermes and a couch are behind him. Then when he says 'Even bigger than those?' Hermes or the couch aren't there.

There are a lot of mistakes in the Futurama series, but I don't think they are mistakes at all. They draw about 24 pictures to fill a second. Don't you think they would have noticed the "mistakes" and done somethink about it???

In some cases maybe, but once they finish one frame it would be too expensive to edit it (or take too much time) so if they notice a mistake, it would be hard to change. And they sometimes make things appear/disappear at their convienience.
Edit: Also as it takes so much time to make each frame the may forget some things from the previous shot, and only focus on the current shot.

I think some scenes are even funnier the slightly unrealistic way they are, like that scene with the suddenly appearing chair Asylum-Fry mentioned.

Dont know if anyone brought this up yet; But in WMIBACIL (i think thats the Ep.) but when Z.Bergs talking about scuttiling or something to that extent near the beginning, when frys on a couch or someones sitting down(I have a poor memory:/)Z's Claw turns grey or black for like 1 frame.  Its really annoying me because i know i saw it.

Also, in "Bendless Love" when bender is talking to Elzar about his dynamite ladybot, he has a full plate, but the next time you see it, it is just scraps. I don't think he could have eaten it cos it was a full plate and only about five seconds and the camera didn't go from his face.
Ah well, yet another stupid nitpick brought to you by me  :D

In "Hell is Other Robots" when the crew is having dinner at Elzar's, Fry and Amy are sitting next to each other.  Then, we see the table from a different angle, and Hermes is sitting between them.  When we see the table from the first angle again, Fry and Amy are once again next to each other.

In 'The series has landed', in one shot Bender's hand is the same colour as his arm. 'Let's burn it and say we dumped it in the sewer'.

If you listen to the commentary in "Bendless Love" they also talked about this problem, because Bender is wearing a magnet pointy beard. They said it only affects him when the magnet is on his forehead.

In "Bender Gets Made", the "fresh" centerpeice Leela mistook for her salad is missing from the table after their dinner is finished.  I propose one of three solutions:
1) Leela ate the centerpiece's vase as well (unlikely)
2) Someone came by, saw Leela eating the centerpeice and removed it (pretty likely)
3) Animation mistake (equally as likey as #2)

On the audio commentaries Coehn explain that one. The line was added in at a late stage, since they figured the scene needed some dialogue. Unfortunately they'd already exhausted their animation budget, and figured "what the hell, noone will notice".

In My Three Suns, when Zoidberg says "Face it, we're in hot butter here!" his tongue is red instead of purple.

If I may ask why do you pick at this show for every little thing that went wrong.

DO YOU GET SOME SORT OF SICK DEMENTED PLEASURE OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!

ahem. sorry about that

No, it's just that when you watch something so many times, you notice stuff. We're not picking at the show - after all, no show is without flaws and continuity errors (especially a cartoon), we're just bringing them up because we find these mistakes interesting.

Also - there is such thing as a question mark. It looks like "?". I suggest putting it at the end of sentences where you are asking a question, and I'm not just picking at your grammar. I find the mistake very interesting... Honestly.

If we're getting at animation oddities involving Zoidberg (although this has probably been done to death and I'm going to get flamed for even considering bringing it up), in episodes 1-4 of 1ACV he has teeth. Looks very peculiar.  He doesn't lose them till Fear of a Bot Planet.  I guess though, that that's probably not a mistake so much as a design alteration on the part of Matt Groening and/or Rough Draft/the designers.

I think i mentioned this elswhere, but i can't remember where so i'll say it here too!

In "Hell is other robots", the musical sequence, when fry and leela are sliding down the slide, it is only one person width but then we see a side on shot and they are overtaking each other and then, in the next shot it is only wide enough for one person. Hmmm!
