The Hubert J. Farnsworth Award for Best Oldie PEELer

Like this category's namesake, the great Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, the winner of this award should be someone who has been around for a long, long time (so in PEEL terms, a registered member of our PEEL family from 2007 or earlier) and whose lifetime of PEELcomplishments would need at least a three-minute film in order to be properly summarized. Also, the winner may or may not have a fondness for being naked.

I think Tweek is a good one for this. He does a lot of behind the scenes work around here and this place wouldn't be the same without him

There really are so many oldies but goodies around here it's hard to list off...Gorky and Maz, for one. Faze. TMC. DrT. And let's not forget [-mArc-] who runs the place from his comfy abode with edel!

2007 counts as super old?  Cool.   Long dedicated service, at your service..  Also at first I totally thought this award was going to be for, y'know, 'old' as in advanced in years.

Since there is one apparently for under 20...

There's a certain kmkat who has provided a lot of funderful posts in her time here..

Trying not to be biased, but one Coldangel has provided a lot to the PEEL community, entering with a whole lot of fanart and epic fanfiction and continuing his torment of PEEL with words once he got bored of doing those arty things.

That Xanfor guy has also been a notable character since 2006.

I just want to point something out about this award--because, looking at the nominations we've received so far for it, I think some people misunderstand what it is intended to honor. Like Tedward says, this award is for the best PEELer who, regardless of his or her age, has been a member of the site since 2007. It is not for PEELers who are biologically old (though they can be), but for those who are old in PEEL years.

In other words, if this poster happened to be a ninety-year old man, you still could not nominate him for this award, because his join date is after 2007. Meanwhile, if you are avoiding voting for a guy like JoshTheater because he's such a young'un, you need not be concerned; he joined at the beginning of 2007, and is therefore eligible for this award.

As is every other poster mentioned thus far in this thread. It's just that some of the nominations y'all have been emailing us have been for people like Tachyon who, though they are terrific posters and valued members of the PEEL community, have not yet been around here long enough to win this particular award. So keep 'em in your mind for the 2015 PEELies or thereabouts for this award, and nominate them for other fun things like Best Poster or Most Helpful PEELer or whatever else they may be eligible for in the meantime. But Best Oldie PEELer is only open to those of us who have stuck around here for years because our real lives are unfulfilling or we're afraid to leave our houses or something like that--so please nominate accordingly.

Aaand conga-rats congraduations on this one, too, win.  Much as your humbleness and modesty may preclude it, your long-term long-time service and dedication to enlightening and confusering PEEL with your sagacity, wisdom, cheekiness, scampi jesterhood, arousing humor, rousing hilarity, poetic imagery, surreal metaphorical symbolism, sincerity, endearingness and caring has been recognized.   Pillar of PEEL indeed.   Also probably the nakedness thing.
