I don't know why certain people like to beat a dead horse.

Well...guesses and speculations about the departure certainly belong to the
"dead horse department".

But I think mere comments expressing regret that she left, combined with the hope of her return, are a sign of appreciation and respect towards that person.

Thank you highly very much and gratzies for the 9 votes I received for Best Poster (I'll obviously never top that), the 11 people who apparently think I'm so super-mysterious (oOoOoOoOoOo) and to everyone who voted for me for Most Entertaining, even though you didn't get to see the poll results.  That one was truly an excellent field.  I am glad to have entertained many of you in my time here.  In any case, all the votes meant a lot to me and it was heartening to place where I did in such fine polls.
And to be thought deserving of such accolades.

I thought it was very well done and very well received.  There were certainly times where I was upset about certain affairs, but I believe that all of my concerns have since been buried.  I congratulate the council on their efforts, everything shows of professionship.

TNUK I think everyone got their final thoughs out, I recommend the forum be locked.

Obviously not.

I'll be locking it at the end of the year. People are still saying stuff for now, and I'd rather leave it open for a little while after people are done with that than cut them off whilst they're still expressing their thoughts. This thread is also as much for the person who will be picking up where I left off as for anybody else - they'll presumably be wanting to analyse what makes a PEELies successful, what people like, what they don't, and what people focus on when all's been said and done. In that regard, this poll and this thread should prove supremely useful to the next guy.

Besides which, I'm waiting for people to start discovering the hidden secrets.

I forgot to say that I was really impressed with how quickly the whole thing happened. The wait between polls closing and awards being handed out wasn't long at all, which was nice.

Explore everything. Click around. Make sure you take a long, hard look at the things that have been said in the awards threads. The clues are there, but you'll have to decipher them on your own.

Although as soon as somebody figures them out, I suppose they'll become obvious to all, and plastered all over the wiki.

The general consensus seems to say that tnuk did a damn good job with this, which in itself is pleasing. I myself did far less than I should have this year, but as tnuk kind of explained I've been having a lot of trouble with my mental health recently and couldn't bring myself to do anything, ever.

I agree, TNUK did a marvelous job of shepherding our fractious mob into selecting the annual awards. May his toenails never fall out!

And I'll miss Leiapadme if she doesn't come back. Her biggest mistake was telling us too much about herself too soon and expecting we would be an accepting open-minded community that would hear out someone with strong viewpoints. Now we must bear the loss of her sexy cosplay pics and other input.

I'd like to thank everyone for voting for me for the awards I was nominated (also for nominating me in the first place).  I'm surprised, but quite happy I won something...and the award looks rather cool as well.

So the majority says I'm no longer an attention whore here....well, I'm WATCHING YOU ALL!!

I have to admit I didn't look, for I do not know what exactly you do expect us to look for.
Do some sentences just have a double meaning meant to be understood only by insiders, or do some information lead to a hidden link (e.g. a word that reveals a secret wikipeelia article), etc, etc, etc... ?

Right now, the kind of secrets is imhO too little specified, so that it's difficult to know what we are expected to look for at all.

If you passed certain hints regarding the secrets specific  nature, I will certainly give it another try.

No offense to tnuk, but he is just plain AWFUL at hidden secrets. When he's not just trolling the general public trying to get them to look for things that don't exist, his secrets are far too obscure and hidden that even if people bother to look for them, there's hardly any chance anyone will be able to find them, because they're hidden in such a way that only tnuk would understand how to do so.

As far as hints go, when tnuk gives hints they're even more cryptic then the hidden things themselves. So it's hardly worth asking.

I would like to thank everyone for awarding me a shiny trophy with such a lovely pink bow on it!

And the awards were run quite swell in my opinion. Enough time for my lazy ass to lounge around and finally vote, and a quick turnover of the results.
