PEELie: Best Fanfiction Writer 2011

So, who is the best fanfictionist? Who's written the best stuff in 2011? There wasn't a very deep pool to draw from here, I'll admit. But "do your best with what you have" is sorta the unofficial motto of the PEELies, and if it wasn't it is now.

Hmmm...I fear that KurtPikachu will win, but for all the wrong reasons. I'd rather not vote for the guy from some mean-spirited place, so I may abstain from voting at all, as I'm not all that familiar with any of the other nominees.

I don't read fan-fiction, I don't like it. That's because every last bit of fan-fiction that I've been exposed to over the years has been cringe-inducing.

BUT, SpaceGoldfish fromWazn has a habit of posting little bits of potential scripts for the show in their posts every now and then and these little snippets are quite amazing in that, whilst technically being fan-fiction, they actually feel like they could have come from the show. They're often funny, in-keeping with characterisation and just... well-written.

I haven't read any stuff, really, but cyber_turnip's argument is as good as any. Spacefish it is.

This award really needs more votes. It's pretty pathetically represented right now, compared to the other On-Topic awards. I mean, you don't even have to care about fanfiction to vote. Just pick an option!

I know the options are pretty bad, but there's not a lot the council were able to do about that.

This is currently the least voted-in poll. If people don't start to use their votes, it's in danger of being awarded to... well. I don't want to spoil the surprise. But I'm disappointed in people.

Fanfiction isn't really a big thing around here. I haven't read anything that any of the nominees have written, except for Spacefish's little end-of-post witticisms, and I'm not really inclined to do so for the sake of a PEELie.
