Bender and Amy will probably face off in the final. And amy and Kif could face off in the semi final.
Interesting matches those.

Amy's biggest challenge there would be the Second Round against either The Crushinator or The Hypnotoad. I'm not sure she'd get past them.

Hmm, there are many Amy fans on PEEL. But also many Amy haters, so I wouldn't be surprised if some people voted against her out of spite.

There won't be a losers' bracket. I want to keep this as Fall Madness, not Year Long Madness.

If you want to discuss things generally, talk about it here. After the next Block begins, all discussion about the last Block will move to here.

To be honest, the Leela blocks aren't the most interesting match-ups for the first round, but they could have some very interesting and close match-ups in the second round and later on in the region. 3/30 versus 14/19 in this block, and 4/29 versus 13/20 and 5/28 versus 12/21 in the upper block, strike me as potentially tight second round battles.

I agree with you there completely, that some 2nd round battles seem to be very tough to decided upon and can cause very narrow victories, or possibly even ties.
And I am looking forward to the 2nd and further rounds much more than the 1st round.

Though surely you mean 4/29 no 4/19 I did, and I've edited my post. ... And yours...

We'll be starting the next round in the Fry Region where all the match-ups will be played. They will be opened tomorrow (October 12th) at midnight EDT. For those who can't bugger themselves to go to the Wiki, they are:

General announcement: in the future, I will delete posts that are not substantive in the poll threads. Say something more than "I agree" or "Second". Actually say why you like the character because chances are you'll say something different than somebody else.

On a similar subject, I will be closing the current threads and polls tonight and opening the threads for the next match-ups but not the polls. This'll allow people to debate about different characters rather than just say who they voted for. Try to persuade somebody to vote for who you like! Discussion about the current polls should take place in here once they are closed.

Those are just on the line of acceptable. I'd rather something more substantial as to sway other voters, but if they help an argument for the character it is fine. Regardless, they're infinitely better than just saying, "Second," or quoting another post and adding just, "What he said."
