Also, this whole single-thread business is going to confuse future generations of PEELers. Calling it now.

SILENCE!!! I concur.

I voted for Mr Snrub because I didn't nominate him, saw other people nominating him, looked at his posts and wished I had nominated him.

Gorky and Josh are both zuleswerden posters, and neither have said anything objectionable this month. But neither has either of them dazzled me with their brilliance this month, so choosing between them was a very tough decision. If the pair of them were suns, I'd say that they've kept shining this month but not thrown off any spectacular flares. That makes it hard to decide who has shone the brighter.

Obviously, I can't not vote. What if a pathetic shitlord won by a single vote, or there was a tie involving a shitlord which ended in a shitlord runoff? Not that everybody on the poll who isn't Josh or Gorky is a shitlord, but it's pretty clear that nobody on the poll who isn't Josh or Gorky actually deserves a POTM award for their contributions during April. If Josh and Gorky are suns, then by comparison the rest of the list are distant stars (and maybe one or two dull, lumpen, asteroids which have been mistaken for stars by idiots who just don't know any better. Much like the majority of asteroids, I shall avoid attaching names to this description. It's never well-received when I do).

So, I rolled a die. Assigning Josh the even and Gorky the odd numbers, I rolled a three. Gorky received my vote.

Anybody who didn't vote for Gorky, you're a shitlord if you didn't vote for Josh. Although I suppose that the next nearest thing to a deserving winner might have been Mr. Snrub, if only the vast majority of his posts weren't so gorram short. I'd enjoy reading what he says, if only he said a bit more of it at a time - roughly 95% of his posts (yes, I counted up and rounded off based on his last fifty or so) are only a single line or sentence.

Is there really so little for which he can muster the passion to articulate more than the briefest of notions?

Anyway, now that I've insulted the vast majority of you arsebreathers, I think it'd be best if I stop here. Not because I don't wish to upset anybody, but because at this point I've accomplished what I set out to do.

tl:dr; I voted for Gorky, you fuggling composts. If you don't like it, sick a hairy duck.

Motor Oil needs to win POTM before she disappears like all good new PEELers have lately. So she gets my vote.

What Snrub said. It was between Motor Oil and Josh for me, and ultimately it seemed like a wiser decision to bribe the new girl with mostly-meaningless accolades so she sticks around; Josh, as we all know, is stuck here forever no matter how many awards we do or don't give him. :p

I thought the trend was that the good new PEELers disappeared after winning PotM? If anything, we should be ensuring that she doesn't win.

Two long-lost-recently-returned Peelers... I kasteth my voteclick for... km73...

Wellm, your voteclick means at least one voteclick!..

Again - quite chuffed to have made the poll both in my first month eligible and my first full month back.  I know I still haven't been posting as much yet as I would like to, and I STILL hope to come back more into the fray and into the fold, - under the auspices of the bosom of the wings of PEEL - at some point, but for now this making-it-on-the-poll is a nice bonus boost..  ♪♫ I'm Makin' It, I've got the chance, I'm takin' it ♫  Meanwhile, I think the fact that everyone was playing Hot Potato for days with starting the poll was rather hilarious..  Unmitigated Libation may indeed have a point about the single thread, but at least it'll be a good yarn to tell.

I voted for Motor Oil this time.  I've not been on all that much recently, but everytime I get on about 75% of the posts I see are from her.

Which is one reason not to have a poll in a thread created by a non-moderator, which is a reason not to allow non-moderators to open polls and to keep nomination and poll threads separate. Can we start doing POTM properly again next month?

I came here specifically to break the tie. Then I saw concerning whom the poll was tied.

The runoff poll is therefore your fault. That being the case, you should open a runoff thread and be the first person to vote as an act of contrition.

I couldn't see the results until the poll ended, but I did have the option to lock or edit the poll.
I think it's pretty clear that Gorky is more worthy of POTM than I am.
