Back on Topic: Which fox one do you like best?

1. or 2.

I wounder if I could get one added to pool?
It would be cool to see if anyone used it.

but it wouldn't be allowed in pool because its not Futurama, and its got writting in it.

But I can dream, I can dream...

They all seem slighly blurry to me. Also, on the two Bender ones, try to make sure what you're making into an avatar is not a generic sort of pose that is already in the pool 5 times. I think that is probably in there by now.

missBender : You can't show an image on Peel that is on your computer's Harddrive.
You have to uplaod it to a Hosting service like  http://www.imageshack.us  or aslates Peel-File Uploader.

Then post it here with the url, they gave you.   ;)

corrected some errors

This one seems really blurry - how did you make it? You could try sharpening it up a bit...did you trace it or get it by other means...

The brief guide to avatar making:

Take image, preferably from DVD
Blow up to 10x original size (Or whatever you're comfortable with)
"scan" the bits of the image you want
Fill in the colours from the original grab
Fill the outside an off-white/grey that is not used in the scan
Crop and shrink to avatar size
Make the off-white/grey colour transparent

The main thing to note is the blowing up and shrinking. This helps to smooth lines and increases sharpness when finished. Do not make avatars by cutting out the image from the DVD.

In PSP:
Shift + Ctrl + V = Transparency options. I find it easier to select the colour you want as the background colour in the pallet and it will be an option to be the transparent colour.
I also know Photoshop and Irfanview can, but i don't  know how, try checking their help sections.

Alternatively, you can use the GIF optimisation tool when you save your file, which provides you with full GIF transparancy features (such as tolerance of background, colour etc.) - that's the way I do it, anyway.

Test.

I'm not planning to change my avatar or anything(I like the one I have just fine) but it helps to test out the ones I have so far, just in case I do decide someday.

Edit: Damn. Once again, not transparent. I think it's all the work of Irfanview. And I remembered avatars can't have words anyway.

I think your avatar doesn't really contain a word sheep, it's just a number   :laff:

I think that avatars which include your name or Peel, or anything else in plain text aren't allowed. Like my very early ones:

7.
8.
9.

Btw.: I've started the second collection

His is slightly more blurry, because I sharpened up the resize (resizing large images results in some blur, and I like clear edges). It's a matter of what you prefer.

It did have whole words. I cut out a picture of a crank from an album cover but it cut through the words so I just put them in that section too. It was crappy quality anyway, I should really zoom in more before using the magic wand tool.

Go into the Avatar thread in Off Topic (called "Join the Avy" ) and repost your avatar with the words "Upload To Custom" in bold.

But don't expect it to be uploaded by an admin for some time...  :)

This is the first avatar I've made. Does it follow the regulations? It's 62 pixels wide and 64 high. Does it have to be exactly 64 x 64? Thanks for any help.    :)

EDIT: I've made another one. This one is 64 x 63 in pixels. Does this one follow the regulations? Tell me what you think. Thanks again.

EDIT2: Thanks germanfryfan.  :) I did that and  I belive it worked.

Looks like it did. Thanks again.  :)
