I was actually thinking the same thing the other day. Though I think "Sticky Threads" is generally a trademark of phpBB 2.0.0 and above. PEEL uses Ultimate Bulletin Board 5.45b. Though maybe [-mArc-] can rig something up.

Only Moderators and Admins would be able to use the Sticky function (which is generally how it's ran). If that's what you're getting at.

Downsides: The sticky thread(s) could be weeks old with no posts, and active topics would be under it/them, which might take some getting used to.
But I'm in favor of it. If [-mArc-] can do it.

This sounds like a good idea. I don't think it'll cut too much into the active threads. Mods and admins will be the only ones that can make a thread sticky, and I'm sure they'll select sticky threads very carefully.

[-mArc-]'s thinking about it, but it's still kinda iffy.

Well, so far it seems as though the topics that would inevitably be Sticky can all fit into The Information Booth. So maybe the Sticky option could be dedicated to only that forum?

That could work. And I also like the idea of automatically sending a new registration to said forum. And maybe make it mod/admin post only?
