sight awards

Peel has 'peeler of the month' and 'fall madness', so howabout sight awards. Every three months (or however many you want) the peelers should vote for the best futurama site (not including peel), and the winning site gets some kind of award eg. picture trophy to put on there sight. Its just a sugestion, but please consiter it.

Peel used to have a similar feature, I think. I'm not sure if it still does.

Website. Sight. Site. Sight. Hmmm. You need to learn the difference between these.

Sight: One of the five senses. You see something, because you have sight. Sight is a visual term. It relates to seeing images. It is a word which describes the action encapsulated by the verb "to see". To see something is to use the power of sight.

Site: A place. A location. Nothing to do with seeing something.

Website: A place on the web. A location characterised by the domain address that you type into the little white bar at the top of your IE window. Nothing to do with seeing things.

Sorry to be such a pedantic bastard, but I've been seeing a lot of this type of mix-up lately, and it's getting annoying. In fact, it's downright fucking me off.

I've spent more time ranting about this that I have answering you, so I'm linking this from my last post in the rant thread. Gah, I'm spreading myself all over PEEL, like a fat man plastered onto the nose cone of a supersonic jet.

PEEL still has the "Buddie of the week" feature, but that's decided by mArc or slimmy.  But nothing where PEELers vote.

The trouble with the idea is that since Futurama's been cancelled, all the sites (with the possible exception of CGEF) are starting to look a bit samey.  For example TLZ lost much of it's individuality when it became a general Futurama site, rather than Leela-oriented.

You have a point.
But whats with buddie of the week, it was TFP when i joined, and it still is.

Maybe they've given up changing it regularly.  That's the other problem with Futurama's cancellation, there's less and less reason for site admins to make major updates to their sites, and it's probably not worth the hassle just to change a single icon.

yeah it hasn't been changed regularly like the episode to vote on (it's been Raging Bender for awhile now).... If it really was a bother, I think a script that rotated the icons weekly for buddy of the week would work nicely, not that this will ever happen....
