I don`t know because today this is modern technology. In a 1000 years from now on, they might have come up with something better....
who am I kidding, of course something better will exist at that time.

There is also a possebility that the movie companies can control this at that time, so there won`t ba any dowloads to anyone.

...except porno, that will always exsist.(sea1ep8)

But would people actually think is worth the time. According to Nixon's head in "A Head in the Polls" computers of 3000 is only twice as fast as computers from 1973.

According to this guy 'Moore', the CPU speed get twice as fast every 18 months... than means that if you'd have a 20 Mhz computer in the year 1973, you'd have a  1,605266083236e+207 Mhz computer in the year 3000. (and the computers in the current time is fare more than twice as fast)

That's assuming the rate of improvement stays the same over the next 1000 years, which I doubt it will

But anyway.. the point is that it's not correct to say it's twice as what it was in 1973, couse we're already way passed that point.. right?

It's supposed to be a joke. Computers were probably twice as fast already in 1975, so it seems like Nixon doesn't know much about computers.

Jokes in Futurama? Surely thou jest my good man.  :D

But Nixon's got knowledge both about 1973 and 3000 so surely he is in the best position to make the comparison.  :)

Yeah, I know. That arguement would never hold up in court but still it just sounded as a joke to good to pass up.
