Parallel Universe

So which Universe did you prefer? Universe A or 1? Or if you could have made futurama, would you have mixed the colours? Like yellow Amy, and blue Zoidy, with the normal coloured crew etc? I hope this hasn't been done already!

fry looked pretty cool with black hair. and the fact that he and leela were together was pretty nice. but, you know, that wouldn't work for the show, cause it's one of those things that keeps you interested, innit? sorry, i'm probably not making much sense. but yeah. i'd prefer universe A. just cause it is what it is. mmm

I would have to say Universe A of course, merely because we have had 4 seasons of it in comparison to part of one episode on the other.

A definitely. i think they used alot of the oringinal character colors in universe 1. like amy was originaly yellow i think, and fry had black hair, or maybe brown...
i think originaly leela had orange pants, and an black tanktop.

Going for Universe A.  While Universe 1 has a neat parallel sky, I think I would get tired of it after a while.

You're right, it has a better ring to it. 

But Universe A is still better, if only because Red Zoid gets his rear handed to him by Blue Zoid.  That's proof that Universe A is greater.

there's one thing that really bothers me about universe 1 [offtopic]: the sky. if the only difference was coin flips, why was the sky a different color? and in all the other universes, why were they robots? eye-less? ancient greeks? etc? when the universe was created, did god (or whatever/whoever it was) flip a coin? i doubt it.

 Obviously, the difference between THOSE universes were not the coin flip, they were something else (robots, bobbleheads, etc). The two universes we were shown were the only two (that we saw) that differed by the coin flips.  As to the sky: perhaps at one point, the earth government tried a different way to combat global warming, instead of the ice cube, based on a coin flip, or something like that. There can be any number of ways something like that can happen based on a coin flip. 

Back to the matter at hand: Universe A is by far the best, the characters in Universe 1 seemed to just be changed as much as possible from the stock, color wise (Blue Zoidberg? Meh.).  Plus, I'm used to it.

Hey! I like universe 1s benderisms! but i have to agree, Leela does look freakish with reddish orange hair.

That bothered me too.  And why was Zoidberg blue?  Bender's color change was explained, and the other characters presumedly had dyed their hair, but what about Zoidy?  Also, parallel Amy looked kinda Caucasian to me.  Maybe it was just her hair though.

Easily explained. Bender's was explained, but they didn't dye their hair. they were just always like that. Universe 1 Leela would never know that that in another universe, as in, universe A, there was a Leela with purple hair. well, now she would, cuz ...oh crap, i give up.

Its not like lobsters are red before they're cooked. So perhaps that tells us something about Zoidberg.  Or since he's a crab, it works, though blue crabs must be even more rare than blue lobsters.  I've heard of blue lobsters before, but never blue crabs.

Both are good, I'm sure if the series had been set in Universe One everybody would be saying Leela looks off with purple hair of Bender's catch phrase is better in that universe just because that is what we are used to.

Your forgetting our little friend chaos theory. Just as it is possible for the butterfly flapping it’s wings to cause a hurricane in China apparently tiny changes in the universe such as coin flips, could have knock on effects which lead to changes as great as the colour of the sky itself. For example, Mr Joe Bloggs couldn't decide whether to split with his girlfriend or not. So he flipped a coin. In universe A he drove to meet her to break it off and ran down a man who would have one day become head of a major corporation, a corporation which would have dumped pollutants in Decapodian seas that led to mutation in a certain spawn named John Zoidberg, turning him blue. Just takes a little imagination.

Ignoring the fact that A is what we are used to, 1 has some great advantages:
Leela and Fry together
The Professor's stylish head wound
'Bite my glorious golden ass'

The plus points are there
