I know I don't show up often, I just wanted to tell you that in tonight's episode of Simpsons ("I D'oh-Bot", whiched aired earlier) had a Futurama reference. When Bart and Homer are watching videos of Frink's super-bot, a collection of tape boxes are seen on the TV. In the far lower-right corner, the box states: "KILLMAMMAD AJEEE VS. BENDER"

Nice to see the animators still thinking about the show, but wouldn't an actual pysical appearance would've been nicer? Oh, well, beggers can't be choosers...

Nicely spotted, Bender5000. I completely overlooked it when I watched the episode.

Here's a framegrab for the rest of you:

Good observation, Bender5000.

Nice to see they still care.

I wonder if Sarge put that one in.

He does still work on The Simpsons, right?

Nice catch on the Bender reference.  A physical appearance would have been nice as it would have been the only "new" Futurama around!  Technically though, I think Bender made an appearance in an episode of the Simpsons a few years back, but I can't remember which one.

I remember seeing him only a week ago (we here in the UK get the cream of TV .... years later). At the end of a show on a Fox panel. Forget the name of the episode, it's the one where Homer becomes a missionary. Nice observation indeed Bender5000!

He also appeared in the one where Bart goes insane from watching TV. Thanks for the pic, Mercapto!

I saw the one reading Circut Ray Leonard, but didn't notice Bender until it was pointed out.  Nice find!

If it had been "Bender vs Godzilla", we could talk about an inside joke.  ;)

Yeah, I know Killhammad had to be one of the opponenets, but the refrence would've been all the sweeter.

"Leeeeelaa! Leeeeelaa!", that Godzilla scene is one of my faves from the opera.

I doubt Bender stood a chance. Too bad we couldn't see it.

To some extent this might still be a specific reference, and if so it would be "Raging Bender".

On the Bender reference, I thought I saw Fry in an episode of The Simpson's once.  I thought it was in the couch scene in the beginning?  Am I right or am I suffering from Ocean Madness?

The couch gag for "HOMR" had the family arriving on the couch by transport tubes.  In place of Bart, Fry lands there and looks around nervously for about a second, then he gets sucked back up and Bart finally lands there.

He's also in "Saddlesore Galactica". When the family is at the fair, he's leaning against a fence.

Sadly, the episode itself is just another wacky Scully-produced "Crazy jerkass Homer gets a new job!" episode  :nono:

on the BBC2 episode last night it was the one where Moe gets plastic surgery and there was exactly the same joke from when leela had her surgery - ie revealing the wrong patient first - anyone know which came first

I don't know off-hand which came first, but we have a whole thread for that sort of thing here.

in "Missionary impossible" he's one of the operators at the phone in at the end, with other TV people
in some episode, (possibly bart vs. lisa. vs. the 3rd grade) bart goes a bit odd from watching too much cable tv, and his clasmates turn into different tv personalities, including bender.
