Why arent the guest voices shown as voices?

should regulars like lauren tom and Phil LaMarr be shown as voices, not as guest voices? They're in nearly every episode.

I would guess its something to do with there contracts, but no there not in audio commentaries

on season 4 box set Lauren tom  does appear (voice) in some of the commentaries, although I am not sure about Phil LaMarr.

Well i know that payndz who own's the dvd's (cause payndz works for HotDog (a magazine in the UK) and got the dvd's early,

As far as I know they send out invites to anyone involved in any episode, and those that can make it do.

Dan Castelleneta is on TDHAIPT commentary and he wasnt a regular, so obviously anyone is invited

I think the reason they're listed as guest voices is because their characters aren't main characters. Fry, Bender and Leela are the 3 main characters because I'm pretty sure they're guaranteed at least one line in every episode. Characters like Amy and Hermes do have lines in almost every episode, but there are some where they didn't even show up (eg. Space Pilot 3000, Roswell That Ends Well). That's my guess, anyway. Although User_names_suck was probably right when he suggested it has something to do with their contracts.

However, I don't think they should be listed under "Guest starring" in the credits. When you do a character who's in 95% of the episodes, you're hardly a "guest." I personally think it'd make more sense to list them under an "Also starring" in the credits, but then again - I guess that's just how they do it.

What about Tress? She appears in the "starring" part every episode from Season 2 onwards and she doesn't exactly have any one main character.
