So they really did that.
According to IGN it seemed to be great.
read the article at http://scifi.ign.com/tv/7185.html

Also, it says that the DVD's should arive around January for the USA.

Yes indeed.  I am lucky enough to live in San Diego, so when I found out that the Futurama team would be there, I made sure not to miss it, and I'm glad I didn't!  The christmas episode was terrific, and it is true what they said, it really is a violent episode...  Anyone else was there?

Man, that sounds awesome...I wish I was cool enough to go to the comic con.

I am excited about the DVDVDVDVDVD news. Commentary for each and every episode?  And from all the writers too, not just Groening/Cohen. It's an incredibly nerdy dream come true.

Special extras including episode commentaries? Chris likes the sound of that. Oh, yeah!

Since they won't show it on TV (right?), were there any anouncements to release the episode on DVD or video?

The crap I put up with from Fox. Why can't they replace the Miss Teen Pregnancy Competition or whatever tripe they show in primetime with A Tale of Two Santas, and, if need be, slap a M on it so meddling parents can keep their precious babys away from all the blood, guts, and humor. I'm never having children.
