Does anyone know where I can find the identities of those cartoons in the theme song? What Else? Futurama had a lot, but I need the missing ones for an extra page in my guide pages.

Maybe you could find them in the episode capsules at CGEF? I'm not sure I don't really use them myself. Sometimes they are indentified in the DVD commentries, but hardly ever.
Failing that, write to Matt Greoning or David Cohen, I think mArc at CGEF has his email?

If you actually get through to them you might want to have some other more important questions, otherwise it would be like asking God if he ever goes to the bathroom, instead of asking him the meaning of life.

^They were the planets we found, but that was before the recent new episodes.

The cartoons are in the capsules at http://www.things.org/~jym/y3k/  if they are known, although that site isn't very up to date.

The Doctor is in the house.

The list on What Else - Futurama? is where most of my research on cartoon openings is published.  You can also check the capsules on CGEF.  I've been updating those with the season 5 episodes, where known.

Unfortunately, many of the cartoon openings remain unknown.  Out of 67 episodes broadcast to date, the cartoon openings are know for only 36.  Personally, I don't consider an opening identified until I know the title of the cartoon, the studio that released it, and the year of release.

Here's a breakdown by production batch:
1ACV - positive ID on 11 of 13 episodes.  We know that 1ACV10 is a Clutch Cargo, and 1ACV13 is a Simpsons, but we don't know the exact episode.

2ACV - positive ID on 9 of 19 episodes.  Four episodes have some information, but not enough for a positive ID.

3ACV - positive ID on 7 of 22 episodes.

4ACV - positive ID on 9 episodes.

Isn't 1ACV13 the Simpsons short "Making Faces" from the Tracey Ullman Show days?

As I am also doing my own "Futurama" complete guide, I also need the opening cartoons (it'll be my Season 4 divisor). What's the URL for "What Else? - Futurama"?

I had this thought, does anyone else think it would be an awesome idea if the opening cartoon on the last ep of Futurama was the first ep of Futurama? I think that would rule

They could use the clip of Fry falling into the freezer, just as he is frozen 'zapp' the ship hits the billboard. That would be really cool.

They should use "Welcome to the World of Tommorow!"
