The path to the ressurection of futurama lies in persuasion.  A very promising opputunity has arisen for us to bring it back! As most of you know TNN is changing its name to SpikeTV and seriously updating it schedule.  The link to send in a opinion/suggestion message is on the homepage and i wanted to show an example of a persuasive letter.  And remember, saying" Futurama is the coolest you should air it" wont persuade SpikeTV to actually air it. Instead try to structure it alongs the lines of these two i wrote.

1)
Finally a station just for us men to rival that feministic crap on lifetime and oxygen. yayyyyy.  Since you have an animation portion and are contemplating what shows you want to air i seriously reccomend Fturama.  Not only do i love this show and want you to air it because i and many many more late-teen to adult males but it has serious potential.  The same creator as the simpsons and a wonderfully original show, it is bound to reach at least as great as heights as the simpsons.  While fox gave it a horrible time slot cartoon network gave it a great one and it has been having extremely well ratings.  While Ren and Stimpy is a grotesquely funny show futurama is full of laughs and even depth in shows such as "Jurassic Bark".  I garuntee that if futurama is given a decent time slot it will bring in at least twice the ratings as Ren and Stimpy.  FOX ditched the show because they think they will survive off of reality shows, American Idol(already old and boring), and a 20 year old simpsons and i will laugh in their face when they die.  My only motivation for watching TNN was the occasional old school jean claude van dam movie.  SpikeTV is a great opputunity for you guys to take off and all you need is a few good shows, i promise that Futurama will be one of them.

2)
I think its a great idea to give TNN a make-over(no female references intentionally implied) and rename it to SpikeTV.  I watch TNN quite a bit but not many of my friends liked the recurring badass man movies.  Also i think it is freakin genius to make an animated portion for the station/network.  A bunch of my friends and i were talking about the horrible demise of Futurama, such a strong male-centered show (though my girlfriend loves it too) , and then realized how awesome it would be if SpikeTV began its life with such a promising, fresh, and full of potential show like Futurama.  Men everywhere will love the stereotypical and slight but yet comedic sexist refernces (just to name a few) of a rich show of quality and entertainment of Futurama.  SpikeTV will NOT go wrong with Futurama. Best wishes and long live the only network for just us men!!

I think the point Malakie was making is that the channel is supposed to be "manly". They'll probably put Futurama on if they think it's manly and sexist show. This is just a way of making Futurama appealing to the TNN (SpikeTV) network. We just brag about Futurama's chuavinistic qualities and they'll warm up to it.

LEELA: If you can change shape, why couldn't you change it in the one place that matters?

Yep, very manly.

Yes you have to appeal to them, give them a strong reason to want to air futurama ( not just stating how funny it is), thats what will make it happen.  SpikeTV's whole intention is to create a station just for men and we have to tell them why and how men will be drawn to Futurama over Ren and Stimpy and the many other choices that might seem more manly.

Except it wouldn't be called Futurama, it'd be called:
An Eye For An Eye: The Turanga Leela Story

It would focus on Fry's appalling sexual advances and Bender's alcoholism, and Leela's noble fight against the chauvinistic robotic sheriff who turns a blind eye to it all. Farnsworth makes a cameo appearance as her tragic grandfather fighting a losing battle with Alzheimer's.

This is one of the most useless and idiotic threads I've seen in my entire life, and believe me, I've seen quite a few. It needs a mercy-killing. Where's a mod when you need one?
