Four reasons.
According to Fox, Futurama is the only show that's ever succeeded in the 7pm timeslot, and they're not going to mess with that--at least as long as the ratings continue. (Which also means, unfortunately, that it'll probably still be on at 7pm in season 5). What everyone forgets is that despite the terrible timeslot, despite the football BS, despite the lackluster advertising, Futurama still does very well. Fox may not understand that, but they definitely like it.
Fox has already ordered enough episodes to get half-way through season 5. That doesn't mean they _have_ to show them, but they've already paid for them, and anything else they throw on at 7pm will cost them money (which they won't spend unless they have a good reason).
Fox believes that the videogame franchise for Futurama could be huge, and they'll run the show until that either turns out not to be true or they run out of games. We probably won't know how that's going until far enough into season 4 that they'll have already made the commitment.
Even if Fox decides not to pick the show up for a fifth season, they'll almost definitely buy it as a potential mid-season replacement (see Family Guy, PJ's, etc.). That's not a guarantee that we'll see any episodes, but Fox doesn't usually buy as many replacements as they did this year, so it's a pretty good chance.
So, unless Groening and friends decide to stop doing the show, I think it's very likely that we'll be watching Futurama two years from now.
