I am not sure if this has been addressed yet, but here goes.  The Fox website shows that Futurama will be shown this Sunday at 7 PM.  But, my digital cable shcedule shows that a Simpsons repeat will be on (Large Marge, yet again.)  The problem is that my digital cable shcedule has only been wrong once in the year that I have had it.  So what gives?  I scared.

fox had a futurama episode (Teenage Mutant Leelas Hurdles) scheduled for last sunday but everywhere else said a simpsons repeat... now everywhere else is saying that futurama episode will play this sunday... i think fox's schedule on their site is messed up  :)

Should be, yes.  But this is Fox we are talking about.  They would rather urinate flies, than to show Futurama.  I trust what my cable schedule shows, and I declare that there will be no Futurama this weekend.  Though I really really hope I am wrong.

Has anyone seen any commercials or read anything in TV guide?  There has to be other sources than the Fox Web Site.

Canadian listings (for BC) and tvguidelive.com says Global and Fox are both airing it, but tvguidelive.com is always something like 2 days behind on fixing something when something has changed. It also says that "Roswell That Ends Well" is airing on the 23rd.

I also have an American address so I checked that too and in my Washington area it is a Simpsons repeat.

If Fox pre-empts "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" one more time, I'm going to start thinking we're never going to see it. But, the again,  if they do schedule it again maybe they will actually air it ("Third time's the charm" )

EDIT: "Roswell That Ends Well" is only airing on Global. (Wow, Global finally decided to air the show this season.)

Sorry to have worried everyone...just another reason to scorn Fox.  I am sure Fox just wants to make sure we see "Large Marge" for a third time this season and then "True Lies" on the 23rd.  Lord knows we haven't seen that enough.

My hope is lost of there being a new episode this Sunday, especially after what happened  last Sunday. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong, but until then my hope is lost, and I don't even have false hope, thanx to Fox.

According to Don Del Grande on the newsgroup (and he is quite wellinformed on these matters) the episode will air.

I hope you are right, Teral, its just that Fox has beaten us down so much that I don't have the will to hope anymore.  I am a dried up husk of a man.  ::Falls to knees and curses Rupert Murdoch::

10 episodes left.  At 5 episodes per, say hello to Season 6 and Season 7, thus concluding the series in 2005, if we're lucky.

Hey, at least it gives them plenty of time to renew.  Another full season will last Fox through 2010, easy.

It's gotten really bad when we're praying for just *one* episode to air. It's only been, what, 2 episodes in 3 months?

Fox's currently lowest rated show for the season is Fastlane (HH 3.3/4th in everything) with a 8pm timeslot Friday and has ads for it.  Fox should put Futurama in Fastlane's timeslot, since 3.3 usually means poor ad rev.

In my recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, one of the creators of "Bernie Mac", Larry Williams, talked about how Fox was treating his show poorly.  He cited all of the awards "Bernie Mac" had been given, but that means nothing when a reality show, with a production value of squat, can swoop in and grab up all the ratings.  So this just isn't Futurama we are fighting for people.  This is a war for quality television everywhere that gets stepped on by inane reality shows and moronic network executives.

Great, now I'm torn.  It's on, it's not on.  I'll take the pessimistic view and assume it won't be.  That way I won't get as pissed when I see the Simpsons on at 7:00 on Sunday.

Seriously, If this is true, I can't believe they have the nerve to this, twice in row. But still nothing about this on the newsgroup.

Well, fox.com now says that The Simpsons is airing @ 7PM on Sunday. So I guess we're not getting a new episode (again).

Fox probably just taped over that episode to make an extra copy of Scariest Animal Turds II.  They don't want to lose a quality show like that.

I would prefer to see..."Bite My Shiny Metal Ass"

...Bender always wanted to drift forever, but through the American SouthWest...

I for one am tired of being jerked around.  There is no emoticon for what I am feeling.  Who can I complain to.  What mountain do I have to climb, what beast must i slay?  Who wants to drive to LA with me and knock some heads around.  I just want to kick some doors in (with my big boots) and scream, "What the F*** is going on!"  How many beers must I drink until I pass out screaming at the Fox logo...there is no justice in the world.

This is one of those times when that middle finger smiley would be extremely useful.  I think the Simpsons did a great job showcasing FOX execs to an extent.  Stupid reality tv shows.

Has anyone ever just asked FOX why they pre-empt the show? It would interesting to see their response, if only for the "official" explanation.

Boobjob Beats Bender

FOX Network changed their mind about showing Futurama this Sunday and now scheduled a third run of Marge Simpson getting breast implants to show in its place. The episode first aired in November 2002 and then again as recently as the 300th episode Sunday in February.

The week afterwards (03/26) will be Futurama-free, too. The Oscar ceremonies are countered by FOX airing "True Lies", which incidentally pre-empted Futurama one year ago on 03/25, too.

Now there are 9 Sundays left till end of May on which Futurama could air but 10 episodes remaining...

Beaten by breasts!

Beaten by breasts! I never thought Futurama would die this way, but I always really hoped! By the way, I downloaded Large Marge, and it's pure sh*t, The Simpsons blows these days.
