Hey, I don't normally post here, but I originally joined this board when it was managed purely by CGEF, within the first 2 days it was created! Anyways, I'm a huge futurama fan despite the fact I don't chat about it at forums like this, so I decided to make a game.
I'm a pretty rookie programmer, I use QBasic, and have had 1 School Year of training. I'm making a game where you fly the PE Ship to differant planets to drop off packages, but you have to dodge obstacles along the way, including Meteors and other Space Ships. After passing a certain amount of these, preset for each level, the level is complete.
Ok, so far, what I've done is programmed the main menu, and the core of the game. Basically, all I need to do is plug in the variables for differant levels (ie #Meteors). I've programmed the first level. What I need are your ideas for the levels - Destination, Delivery, Password, #Meteors.
So far the first level is to the Moon, the password is CHEESE, you deliver a claw machine, and there are 30 Meteors (and ships/other debris) on the way to the moon. I'd like you to approximate how far it would be to other planets, as in the number of debris you'll pass by to get there.
Oh, and I didn't make this clear: They need to be from Futurama Episodes. In "The Series has Landed" the crew goes to the moon to deliver a claw machine. That's where I got my idea from.
Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks a lot.
