Yep, I also thought the "Shut up" was refering to me. I already typed an answer telling you I didn't say Billy's reading was a negative thing, just very similar in nature to Chuck's "Top 10 facts reading" (Also, due to Futurama's nerdy parody nature, such an nerdculture event like the fact reading is really suitable to be spoofed/copied Futurama style ) My internet connection broke down while trying to post it, and the text was lost. But as it is no longer necessary, nothing important seems to have gone missing

What have they said about 'A Farewell to Arms' in this week's Countdown to Futurama Podcast?

Here's the new information I gathered from the podcast: "Farewell to Arms" - We will see a full Planet Express Prom - Matt Groening loves tentacles, but is tired of them now - The pyramid spaceship was left behind on Earth, not Mars - We get to see the pyramid ship fly and it somehow "comes together" (transforms?) - At this point in the story there is no electrical power on Earth so they have to use a ship powered by snakes "Decision 3012" - Napoleon Bender is part of a Robot revolt that takes place in a "flash forward" segment - Chris Travers is from Hawaii - This ep is going to have a "sci-fi twist" according to DXC They didn't talk at all about the Morbo clip or the pic of Destructor.

So I'm gonna predict the "sci-fi twist" now:
The robot army thing isn't actually a flashforward, but a flashback. All the scenes we think are the present are actually the future.
Meh. Maybe.

Speaking of stuff that Fry says, here's something I noticed recently: "What's the word? Sir!" "Take this Mr. President! Sir!" "You shut up sir!" "That is entirely not true sir." What's up with Fry's obsession with the word "sir"? These examples are just off the top of my head.

Question: In "Ghosts in the Machine", when Fry says, "No! Winter's coming!" is that a Game of Thrones reference? I keep hearing "winter's coming" and I always think of that episode because I don't watch Game of Thrones.
That's highly contentious. Game of Thrones originally debuted on television April 17, 2011. Ghost in the Machines originally aired June 30, 2011. Production on both most likely occurred in 2010. This suggests that the line "No! Not the armpits! Winter's coming!" is most likely not a result of the show Game of Thrones as the tv series hadn't aired when that episode was being written. However, it is entirely possible that the writers were familiar with the book series A Song of Ice and Fire of which the tv series Game of Thrones was adapted from. The first book in the series A Game of Thrones was first published in 1996. My personal interpretation is that the quote in question is not a direct reference to the aforementioned series. I'm not entirely familiar with the series in its book medium, but in the show the phrase often used is generally said, "Winter is coming," and is usually thrown into the context of dread with supporting contextual clues. The line Fry says is similar, but has no other context, and my own interpretation was just that Fry was saying something silly yet inclusively logical: if he has no armpit hair, then there will be no hair to keep his armpits warm; this bothers him because winter approaches.

"Killing these will be so much easier than exterminating those ponies." The stupidity of the YouTube community never fails to amuse me. (Read the comments. They think it's a brony-bashing quote.)
Well, Futurama is set in the future, who knows, the writers may have predicted a pony take over and having to exterminate them xD And since everybody is doing it... The Bots and the Bees A Farewell to Arms The Thief of Baghead The Butterjunk Effect Zapp Dingbat Decision 3012
