Thought this maybe useful to someone...

The author of the Scott Pilgrim series (Bryan Lee O'Malley (@radiomaru)) has been tweeting a lot about the books being re-released in colour, after tweeting lots of info and links, he then put this:

30 people saying shut up and take my money? 13 jpgs of fry from futurama? yep. turns out i said a thing on twitter.

I'm watching CC right now, hoping for another Futurama commercial. I'll upload it to Youtube if I find it.

So I'm guessing The Butterjunk Effect may possibly be about time travel after all, since A Farewell to Arms has been confirmed as the 3012 doomsday thing...

That reminds me: For the writers not being too keen on time travel, some of the best episodes were based on that premise :) (RTEW, TLPJF, BBS as imhO the most consistent one of the movies) ;)
(Also, the "Wish Episode 200" was mentioned to be about Fry going to the 20th century and taking the rest with him)

Wish Episode 200? Oh, is that a plan for (If possible) the 200th episode? Where did you hear this?

I think I read it somewhere on Peel.
I do not know if there is a specific plan: The writers just mentioned somewhere should that series survive until episode 200, that would be a considerable "anniversary plot".

Yeah, 200 isn't a milestone that will be reached soon. Even if they ordered another season with 26 episodes, that'd still only have them on 166.

If it goes that long of course.

Last year it was only a couple of weeks behind America. Hopefully the same will happen again this year.

It takes more than a year to reach the UK. Well, 6A did... Let's see if we get 6B a little earlier.

Eric Rogers said that he'd love for that to be the plot of the 200th episode on Twitter.

So - far from a plan but certainly a possibility (and one that I'd be 100% behind).

Well..at least -should episode 200 REALLY feature that plot- it would be a believable "we always had that in mind" ;)
E.g. I never completely bought that they were 100% sure to reveal Leela's mutant heritage. This was surely one possibility, but some early episodes had imhO a certain vibe that they also wanted to keep the option of revealing her to be an alien.

I calculated (using the UK 6A airdate and DVD release compared against the 6B DVD release) that 6B should have started around now or within the next 2 weeks or so I think...

Why does this have ratings?

Because imdb is like Wikipedia, so everyone can edit its contents?

Whilst that's true, that's not relevant to this. It has ratings because voting is open as it usually is prior to an episode's release and, for some reason, idiots love giving things false ratings. Usually spamming it with 10/10s or 1/10s depending on if they like the show or not.

Look at season 5 of Breaking Bad for another current example.

It is relevant to this, because it collaterals with the philosophy of imdb.  But you'd think that once a 'release date' is set to anything, you can detect whether it has been released.

But that would require some sophisticated programming!

Reminds me of when GameSpot wouldn't let me rate Assassin's Creed: Revelations, because it apparently wasn't out yet. ( Even though I had just bought it and it was right next to me.)

It is a meme. The "Why not Zoidberg?" thing, that is. It's all stinking over Youtube. My personal favorite is, "Need a voice to think in? Why not Zoidberg?" :D

Speaking of Youtube, has anyone seen that clip of the neutral president saying "I have no strong feelings one way or another?" The like/dislike bar is EXACTLY in the middle. Futurama fans are amazing.

Ooh! That reminds me. I REALLY hope we see the neutral aliens in the next season.

I hope we see the neutrals again as well. Easily the best non-recurring characters on the show.

I'm also hoping we'll see more of the Brainspawn. I'm really itching to find out what "Free Will Hunting" is about, because if they do reappear, I've got a feeling it'll be in that episode.

Yes. I LOVE the Brainspawn. They are the greetest.

I certainly would not mind seeing them as recurring villains, especially as Futurama has no regular "boss monster" like the big brain (Lrrr is imhO the closest to this trope, but he has grown more into a human bully).

Since nobody seems to have mentioned it yet, I will say that I am very relieved that the first five episodes (at least) of 7A are being aired in production order.

This is a much better decision than was made for 6B, which was aired in what for the most part seemed to be completely random order (although the final three episodes of 6B were in fact aired in production order).

I am hopeful that this means that all of 7A will be aired in the order that the Futurama production team intended it to be shown.

Shut up. That is fantastic. Billy West is such a good sport. A lot of voice actors would get tired of doing voices for people all the time, but he genuinely seems to enjoy it. And he's actually said that Futurama is his favorite show, and that even if he wasn't part of it, he'd still love it. Now that's dedication!
