Hi, I'm new here and just read something that made me panic about Futurama.
On Zap2it.com, there was an article about the new show Oliver Beene being moved from its original fall timeslot to a premiere date in January. Here's an excerpt.
*LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - When a network moves a show from its scheduled fall premiere to midseason, it's often a sign of trouble.
That's not the case with "Oliver Beene," FOX insists. In fact, the network is delaying the premiere until January in order to help the show.
"Oliver Beene," about an eccentric Cold War-era family as seen through the eyes of the 11-year-old title character, is scheduled for the 7:30 p.m. slot on Sundays. But because of FOX's baseball and National Football League coverage, it would likely be pre-empted numerous times. Thus, the network will wait until January to launch it.
"It's not fair to the show" to do otherwise, a FOX spokesman tells Zap2it. The network took a similar path with the first season of "Malcolm in the Middle," which premiered in January 2000 and has since become one of FOX's top-rated series.*
So I was just wondering, since that show is on AFTER Futurama, will Futurama's next season also be delayed till January?
I also do love how Fox has no mention about Futurama, just that it's not fair that their new show gets preempted by baseball. Screw them.
And it's fair that Futurama isn't given a chance???

I'm sure it was FOX who insisted that the opening caption of "The 30% Iron Chef" was "if accidently watched, induce vomiting". Welcome to PEEL, Fancy Pants. Enjoy it here.
