The previous discussion thread has passed away at the ripe old age of 20 pages.

So now, let us make discussions!

After thinking about it for a while, I've got this strange feeling that "Zapp Dingba" will be the next "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela". The premise sounds like it can be either really good, or really bad.

So yeah, fingers crossed. The fact that Eric Rogers is the writer kind of gives me a bit of hope.

Actually, as of right now, it's still open.

Correct protocol would be to continue using that thread until it is actually closed before opening a new one. You are bad, you should feel bad, and I sincerely hope that you never procreate. Because obviously your children would be awful if they took after you, but also it would mean that you probably got to do the fun parts of procreation, and I'd like to think that you'll be forever denied any joy in life by the universe seeking to punish you for this mistake.

As far as Eric Rogers goes, I know he's Danny's BFF and all, but I don't think he's produced anything absolutely stellar. Good? Yes. The Late Philip J. Fry? Nope. Not yet. I think we can hope for a good one, but I'm not sure that we can hope for a really good one, so it might just be really bad instead.

You'll have that in common, if it works out that way.

Oh, and anybody else posting in this thread before the old one is actually closed and unstickied is an enormous fucking tool. There's a goddamn link in my post to the current thread, for God's sake. I hope those tools never procreate either.

My only fear is that Zapp will continue to have very few comical moments. I feel like that has been one of the flaws of the new run. Zapp hasn't had any super memorable lines that we love so much. IaGDL is the perfect example of this. Lines like "Yon win again, gravity!" and "In the game of chess, never show your advisory your pieces" really built his character to a really high comic standpoint. And in Season 6? Bleh! Besides his appearance in Cold Warriors, he's been really out of character.
