I'm pretty sure it'll involve some new power or ability, but it won't be another Superhero episode. 40% Leadbelly also sounds pretty cool! :D

SGB, The Inhuman Torch probably has nothing to do with superheroes. You should know by now that the title sometimes has barely anything to do with the episode.

:nono: That's sorta what I said, but it could involve some kind of cool ability, or most likely it's metaphorical...

The word could is nowhere to be found in this post. You said "pretty sure".

Not getting my hopes up for an episode that will air in the Summer of 2013, but these titles do interest me...

I'm more curious about the "InHuman" part. It could simply be referring to Bender, but maybe it isn't.

And I agree with Otis about the LTH thing. If isn't super hero-y, it would need to differ significantly.

I'm sure the whole torch thing is metaphorical. But I don't what to think about the whole inhuman thing. True, it could involve Bender, or maybe one of the human characters is transformed or something. But it feels like there's gonna be some kind of protest involved...

If it's about super heroes, then I'm pumped already :D

I had my super heroes fix with Less Than Hero, don't really feel another is needed myself...

My feelings exactly, although it's worth pointing out that the superhero genre as we know it now, only really kicked off after Less than Hero. There'd probably lots of material for them to play with with all the films we've had since.
But yeah, there's no need for another one and I doubt it'll be a superhero episode because I doubt they'd want to retread old ground either.

Forty Percent Ledbelly sorta sounds like their playing around with the plot from "Bendin' In The wind". God, I hope it turns out well! But seriously, what else could they explore with Bender's folksingin' skills?

Lead Belly was a famous folk-singer so it's almost definitely going to be about Bender's love of folk-singing.

I'm wondering what kind of story they're gonna pull out. I mean, they sort of already exposed Bender's folksinging in a positive way, and I'm hoping it's not gonna be some cheap form of continuity like that Simpson's episode where they made 'Angry Dad' a movie...:hmpf:

I think since they're revisiting an original Bender aspect they'd be sure to do it justice (just don't think of Bendin' in the Wind and you'll agree with me). I think it'll be one of the best episodes of season seven.

Guys, these are titles. We literally know nothing about these episodes. The folk singing and, more so, superhero speculation is merely that: speculation. And probably wrong.

Perhaps with (prepare to giggle) TIT, but Forty Percent Leadbelly is different. I mean, the 40% thing obviously includes Bender. And Leadbelly is a folksinger... The odds are extremely high that it's another episode about Bender and singing...

Lead Belly also had a troubled life filled with violent encounters and prison sentences, and lived as a minority member before the civil rights movement. Sound at all like a robot we know?

There's lots of potential to do a Bender+music theme without it being a rehash of Bendin' in the Wind.

Still, I'd be amazed if it doesn't have something to do with Bender's folk-singing habit.

I don't expect it to be a BITW re-hash, I expect it to be the "true" Bender-folk singing episode (better story, more emotionally developed and no Beck).

I misread "pass out" as "make out".

For a split second, my mind was very worried about the state of mind of the staff working on the show.

Then for a split second, I thought "now 'That Darn Katz!' makes more sense".

Then I realised what it actually said.

What? No one on PEEL has that... (Well, that we know of...) I posted a tweet that was originally from Aimee Steinberger, she's an assistant director on the show... But she will respond to most tweets. So will Eric Rogers, he's a writer.

Groening talks about the return of Futurama here.

I wish I could say it's awesome, but it won't load past the fucking 20 second mark for me for some reason. Hopefully others will have more luck?

Thirty second mark for me. And it seems like they were actually going to get down to business finally then instead of pussy-footing around.

EDIT: Full thing fully loaded. They talked more about "The Simpsons" bootlegged Duff beer than Futurama's return. Nothing new learned, just stated they have 26 episodes currently in production and they won the Emmy for best animated television program.

Basically, Groening says he loves Futurama. It allows him to do more of the stuff he likes to do than The Simpsons does. That's about the extent of Futurama's involvement in the video.

Oh, and the interviewer compares it to a child having been taken away by social services. It's really not worth watching.

I've got a good feeling about this season.  6 was the reintroduction so 7 is kind of like season 2 2.0 in a weird way...? Plus it may actually be the last season ever...
