Simpsons cancelled - good news for Futurama fans?

Good news everyone!

According to that the Simpsons is going to stop being produced.  I got bored of it long ago so it doesn't bother me.  Maybe Matt Groening will not hove more time to put into Futurama?

There's already a thread discussing this a little further down. And they're not stopping production any time soon, there's at least two more seasons left.

I've literally just said this in another thread, but it's very relevant in here too.

It was even on the news on TV that Matt admitted they're running out of ideas, and wants to wind down the show. The voice actors are signed for another 2 seasons, that would make 15 in total. After that, looks like Fox get payback   

I think it's good news; The Simpsons is really going down in quality and becoming a parody of itself. Unfortunately I doubt the fact that the end's in sight will have any affect on Futurama.

It definately shows that Matt doesn't have much enthusiasm for the Simpsons any more - and he does seem to have the enthusiasm for Futurama which can't be bad news...
