I thought it was a great Xmas episode, and they're supposed to be quirky, guys. There was the Amy/Bender thing going through the season, too... All in all, I gave it a 9 out of 10. Quirky, crazy, and all around bananas...uh...yeah. Good episode, I think.
The Amy/Bender thing in... one episode. Am I missing something?

You know there is trouble when the funniest part of the episode was the opening subtitle: 'Time travellers take note: 331 days till last Xmas'.

I don't know... I just saw it as somewhat realistic. Amy was more than sex to Bender, and so at least a friendship stayed after they broke up. It's only realistic that they were closer afterwards.

I don't know what IGN were smoking when they rated this episode a 9/10, but I give it a 3/10. One of the worst Futurama episodes ever, and it's a disgrace to be held in the same category as the previous Xmas episodes...
IGN is a weird site though, since they gave The Late Philip J. Fry one of the lower ratings of the season with only a 7.5, whilst Attack Of The Killer App gets an 8.5, which is pretty ridiculous I think. This one takes the cake though, a 9.0 for an episode which is tied as one of the worst ever! At least they got The Prisoner Of Benda's score right!
IGN... Almost every review they make = Incredibly strange, Mr. Canning could perhaps watch the original episodes some more times, He ought to compare the episodes that he reviews with those from Futurama, NOT " The Simpsons" and etc. (It feels like he kinda does that.) 6ACV13 was clearly the weakest installment in this broadcast season. 6ACV03 was IMO an "above-average" episode.

Also make it better than the new Xmas ep, for the love of god!...
Mr. Jivefunk, you can't get lower than 6ACV13, ( "Attack of the Killer App" was better, a lot. Even that "In-A-Gadda-Da-Crappa" was better, No talkin' bees there.) But if Michael Rowe writes "Futurama Reincarnation", I'm going to kill myself. [edit: split from the news thread]

Why do people seem to hate the talking bees in 6ACV13? That if anything was good.

To me, the talking bees actually ruined "The Sting" to me. I may be alone in this matter, but now when I know that the bees can talk in a future episode, "The Sting"'s magical touch on that behalf is lost or damaged.
Ironically, Bender's Big Score did not ruin "Jurassic Bark" to me, because it was quite decent itself, and the facts that it 'changed' weren't 'stupid'. Like talking bees.

But the bees couldn't talk, Svip. The crew wore helmets that made them understand what they "said".

The excuse is still lame. I have never been a fan of universal translators in science-fiction.
In addition, Bender just understood what they said in "The Sting", but he still had to dance for them. Why couldn't they have used the subtitles again? As well as having the crew actually dance for the bees when they talked.

He's writing the penultimate episode, not "Futurama Reincarnation", unless he's writing two episodes back to back which seems extremely unlikely.
Are you sure? On the Infosphere it has Ken as the writer for that episode: http://theinfosphere.org/Resurrection

You see the "Report To Moderator", so go for it.
You seem to be as disruptive a CommanderZapp. Instead of coming in like the eitquette police, a simple PM would have been easier and possibly had a better result. Svip was polite in asking the reason, so the "Nuclear Option" approach you used wasn't warrented. It wasn't even your post, so I have no idea why your panties are so twisted.
BTW, you can report me to the Admins, Mods, etc. They know me quite well. No, I'm not friends with any of them.
As for this "highly anticipated episode", I was tremendously let down.
As for the talking bees - how else were we and the late PE crew to know that the bees would attack the beings who saved them?
Ungrateful bees.
