Out of all the first 5 seasons, this is the only episode I have ever dubbed "skip-worthy" on DVD. The story about the trees...well, it didn't go nowhere, but it didn't go far, even for a 7 minute story. The rest I can barely remember because the only time I watch this episode is during commentary marathons. 5/10 and that is literally as low as Futurama can get. 4/10 to me would be an episode of Family Guy.

It was a horrible episode. Dull plot, dumb jokes and unclimatic scenes (talking Space Bees were awful).

I gave it a 1/10.  As low as Futurama can get

I know I keep bumping this thread, but everytime I watch this ep I seem to like it a little more.

Would it make you feel better to know that I don't hate this episode nearly as much as others do? Hell, the Robanukah segment has some of my favorite one-liners of the season ("I don't wrestle dry, Bender. I went to Vassar"), and it's the only segment with a remotely memorable song. And I don't find the Xmas segment offensive, really--just boring as hell. The only segment that I have a real problem with is the Kwanzaa one, because it is disgusting (do I need to see parasites crawling all over the place? Not really) and, like I said before, it takes something I really loved from another episode (the space bees) and strips them of what made them so awesome in their original appearance. Most uncool.

3/10, the robonukah and kwanza songs were kind of catchy. This episode WAS bad, like with the plots and characters. I wonder why you would make a non-canon xmas episode? even to a 3 day old fan it just doesn't fit......I even asked one! XD But it does deserve the 3/10. Thank god this was the end of the hated Season 6A. Season 6B rocked! (except Yo Leela Leela that one was awful!). So to be continued in 2012.......

Wasn't good?  Wasn't good?  The destruction of Alderan wasn't good.  Shooting Old Yeller wasn't good.  Rebecca Black's "Friday" wasn't good.

The Futurama Holiday Spectacular is horrendous, with maybe one or two marginally non-bad moments.

The Spectacular at least deserves to end up in a recycling bin. There was nothing wrong with the premise of the episode and it was funny at times.

Friday, however, was just a bad idea on all counts.

I think Ark Music Factory deserves to be plunged into a black hole.  They take the money of naive rich kids, set them up in music videos that are atrocious on every level from the lyrics to autotuning them so they barely sound human, and then set them up for the venomous bile of the internet.

Especially the Patofile, Patrice Wilson.

While the episode sucked on the whole, this IS true. I actually sort of enjoyed the Robanukah segment. However, the Christmas segment was purely "meh" and the Kwanzaa segment was ridiculously awful. The Kwanzaa segment effectively drags the whole episode down, I think. I gave it a 2/10.

I found it mediocre. There were a few good laughs, but not enough to support the plot line rendered for the episode. It also felt like the same old crap with Santa and stuff. And the continuity to the bees nest wasn't that funny or entertaining.

You raise a good point about Robot Santa, I do feel they tarnished his character a little by his mediocre appearance in this ep. Due to this ep I'm not that bothered about seeing him again. In previous Xmas eps, in my mind he made them, but in this ep his role added nothing of value other than the familiarity of his presence (and lack of presents)...

I don't think that it was a good idea to make a 3-part episode out of holiday ideas. You do raise a good point about Santa making the episode, rather than just playing a role.

Back on track guys, screw Family Guy

Tachyon aside from the setup of that episode, what didn't you enjoy about it? What I mean is, had there been an opening breaking the fourth wall like in Reincarnation, would you still have hated it as much? I feel that that is where a lot of bad feelings are coming from. Because as a random 3 part episode about 3 holidays I thought it was okay, but it needed that opener to distinguish it as such and thus non canon. Otherwise it's kinda like Gunther flinging his crap at the Professor...
