We all know how bad Futurama has been treated by Fox, I've been doing a little research to bluntly shed some light on the current situation, although there isn't much light I'm afraid   :(

Here are some facts and data regarding episode air dates and likely time slots ect, I know that most people know the situation but it's time that it was clearly put in writing for all to see and make the facts clear.

Here is what we have of Fox's so called "Season 4" at the moment:

01 3ACV19 12/09/01 Roswell that Ends Well
02 3ACV03 12/23/01 A Tale of Two Santas
03 3ACV18 01/06/02 Anthology of Interest II
04 4ACV03 02/10/02 Love & Rocket
05 4ACV02 02/17/02 Leela's Homeworld
06 3ACV10 03/03/02 Where the Buggalo Roam
07 3ACV17 03/10/02 A Pharaoh To Remember

on the 03/17/02 Godfellas should air

on 03/24/02 it's pre-empted by ID4
which leaves us with:

03/31/02 ?
04/07/02 ?
04/14/02 ?
04/21/02 ?
05/05/02 the season finale 4ACV11 "Where No Fan Has Gone Before"

this means that even if Futurama airs every week after 03/24/02 it will only get 13 episodes altogether this year    By the way things are looking we may only get 3 4ACV episodes this season because although there are four dates which could have Futurama aired, they might be used to air the 4 remaining Season 3 episodes which will still be left, it would make sense:

3ACV12: The Route of All Evil
3ACV16: A Leela of Her Own
3ACV21: Future Stock
3ACV22: The 30% Iron Chef

Judging by this it would mean that Fox would still have 15 episodes left unaired and if they showed them at the same rate they showed recent episodes we could be waiting until January 2004 to see that final 4ACV episodes

Who knows? Maybe Matt will convince them to keep airing new stuff during the summer.

Yeah, maybe FOX could advertise it as "The only 'NEW' thing on FOX this summer!" I bet a lot more people would tune in just because of that. The human race is so mindless...

It's sad to see Futurama treated so badly. If Fox were to air new Futurama eps over the summer, then they wouldn't have enough episodes left for a full 2002-2003 season. Kind of sad that a full season for Futurama is 13-15 episodes now, while we get a full 22 eps. of Simpsons and King of the Hill goodness.

Correct, I'd be more upset if I heard beer was being banned than I was when I heard Futurama wasn't being renewed, and I was rather upset about that    :(

Maybe food. that can be very serious indeed. Beer, however is definately very serious. It's a pity that there is no real beer in america. All you have is lager, and whilst I love american favourites such as Budwiser and Miller, I find nothing refreshes my soul more than Black Sheep Bitter.

Although you will probably beat Tweek to Space Pope I'm sure he will have no problem beating you to the rank after, which would be a real threat to Randi.

Actually there is plenty of real ale brewed in the US, I think it is mainly served in brew pubs though, if you walk into a bar at random you are unlikely to find it. I had a rather nice bottle conditioned ale from Vermont at the Peterborough Beer Festival last year  :)

Beer festivals, now that sounds like my kind of pastime. But sadly I live in an country where 99.5 % of all beer brewed is lager, so much for diversity.  :(

Luckily the largest pub in the country is only 20 km away, and they got some nice beer from other countries (like Belgium, Germany and England).

It looks like my original thoughts where right, 4 remaining dates and 4 remaining Season 3 episodes, and now we know that one of those Season 3 episodes will be used. It's a shame that we might not get much more of the Season 4 produced episodes though :(
