Also, I think this is Off-Topic talk perhaps. Haha, that was an estimate. We admitted we were confused right wehn Bender started time traveling. We couldn't quite remember how Planet Express had been taken over, someone insisted it was because of spam, and we were like "WHAT?" and he was like "when they went to the beach..." and we were just like "Why did they go to the beach again?" and I was like "...my head hurts." So we agreed that 'billion backs' would be easier on the mind, and it was.

BTW, when you say "Highly Recommend", you mean Recommended to watch whilst high. I mean both They're totally different experiences.

I was drunk the first time I saw Bender's Big Score, I understood it for the most part. Saw it a couple more times relatively sober, watched it completely stoned quite recently and it makes a little more sense every time. I LOVE that movie when high. The time travel stuff with Fry and Bender in 2000 becomes such an awesome mind-fuck. Haven't seen The Beast With a Billion Backs on any drug yet but it HAS to be better than it is sober. That movie suuuucked.

kind of like 'okay chinese people love cartoons. lets throw one in here so
they'll watch' it always felt like a publicity stunt to me you know? I've always kind of assumed it was a twist on the token black African-American character in an otherwise white (err, European-American?) sit-com. Either that or its a nod to Star Trek with its Asian character. (Not to mention its African-American, Russian, and Scottish ones. Did I miss anyone?) In any case I don't think there's any deep and meaningful reason. It may have been as simple as picking the character design that they liked best out of the ones available at the time. Apparently Hermes was originally going to be called Dexter and be British. But they decided being Jamaican was funnier (especially considering his role in the show) and they changed his name because Dexter and Bender were too similar. So they named him after a typewriter (the Hermes Rocket) instead.

I don't think anyone here is going to argue that point.

She's Martian by birth, Asian by heritage. Also, drinking alcohol isn't as bad as breathing smoke. For your health, that is. Breathing smoke will always do a bit of harm no matter how little is inhaled, yet alcohol has distinct proven heath benefits in the right quantities.

Wish I could not drink haha. Never watched futurama "stoned" or plan to. Respect to you Bianca! Alcohol worse than pot? Hmm. I suppose alcohol makes (some) people do stupid things e.g. fight... *sigh*. Pot can lead to harder drugs though surely? (Sometimes)

Osmosis is tough; I can soak in beer all day and not feel a thing. Oral or intravenous application is all that works for me. Also I eat 3 watermelons a day that was really funny Hobbitboy xDI think this discussion is certainly turning offtopic, but interesting nonetheless... @ Bianca...how old are you that you don't plan to drink ever? Just curious. I didn't have a drink until I was 20 (which is considered late even though the legal age is 21 ). Alcohol is not inherently bad, it is how people abuse it that makes it bad (like guns xD). Actually it is quite delicious...
