I was always a big fan of that Simple Minds song since way back before Futurama was even the sperm of an idea in Matt's head, but since it was used at the end of 'Luck of the Fryish', I can't help but associate it with Futurama.
If you're not bothered by the 80s 'cringe'-factor, it really is a very beautiful song, and before that episode I had never heard it used in a film or TV show to such wonderful dramatic effect. Its use was truly a stroke of genius - it just fitted so well; it came in at just the right point and really summed up the episode in a memorable way.
The episode is great on its own, of course, but the song's use, for me, makes it a real gem.
I'm gonna go listen to my old Simple Minds cassette now.

...Yes, I have cassettes. Bugger off.
