Futurama-related dog names?

I just got a puppy (female) and I can't come up with a good Futurama style name for her. I don't want to use Leela or Amy, can anyone think of any cool Futurama words that sound like a good dog name.

You should make your dog's pedigree name "The Anus of the Slurm Queen" and just call it "Slurm" for short.

I got a dog about a year ago.I started calling her lil' Fry.Then Seymour.But I wound up naming her Smorz.

Hmm, how about naming the dog after a minor character? I was thinking that would make the name somewhat subtle, but still be connected to Futurama.

Angeline, Vyolet, Morgan. Something like that. =)

I think it would sound funny if the dog was down the street and I was yelling Headless body of Agnew! I definitely want it to be something minor from the show that most people wouldn't get like Dixie said. Thanks for all the great ideas so far!

Slurms MacKenzie is a spoof on Spuds MacKenzie, the marketing dog of the year in 1987 when he (later found to be 'she') first showed up in a Bud Light Beer Super Bowl ad.

Why are people coming up with male names hence andrew, Slurms etc its a female dog.

I think you should go for a minor role female too as there is a connection but not too obvious, like why don't you call her Chrisie? Thats minor  (from the episode 'Mars University')

i actually made an account a few years ago but forgot the username and password and i also changed my email address so i made a new account.

but to stay on topic, some other names could be robo puppy from jurassic bark, umbriel and elzar

Until he confirms this and posts what he picked, the puppy's name remains an urban myth!

I was gonna say "Fluffers," Dave B beat me to it (and Dai: "Fluffers" was the cat-like alien who owned the human-like pet "Dave Speigle" (which could be spelled "Dave's Beagle" and so is kind of a pun)).

And I love DavidA's rationale for Prof Zoidy's "Michelle".  "Morgan" also works for the same reason. 

My top favorite idea not yet suggested: Countess!  (from the Titanic ep, of course)

And here's some more:

Fiona (the female Nibblonian)
Sally (three-eared orphan)
Monique (All My Circuits)
Bettsie (Amy's buggalo, suggested by Dai but not referenced to the ep)
Felicity (Zapp's horse)
Lee Lemon (a unisex name, really)
Turangalila (the musical piece  )

...but ThePopularOne should have given us a pic of the puppy and told us a little about her personality.  That's important for a pet name (unless it's a fish).

There are also names from actresses on the show:

Posey
Lucy
Sigourney
Tress
Bea/Beatrice
Nichelle

It occurs to Shiny that her own name would also make a good pet name...but then people would think you were a Firefly/Serenity fan.  Unless you told them it was short for "Shiny Metal Ass." 

But for other PEELers there's Venus, Layla, etc., or less genderfied names like Gorky, Kloudes, et al.


Now, PopularOne, tell us what the puppy's name is, or we'll assume you called her "Femputer" and call the ASPCA on you!

Yep thats where Fluffers is from, a quite good name I think... also another suggestion is: Hookerbot "Ahahahaha... but seriously" why not: Lynda, the newscaster?

I just named a dog Nibbler, she's only about six weeks old. She's a black and tan daschund, and she has a white chest, I made her a little red cape too so she totally looks like Nibbler.
