Anybody out there remember or, better yet, have a scan of the ad that, I believe, was on the cover of Variety a few years back that had giant Bender and giant Zoidberg fighting in the city ala 2nd Season's Anthology of Interest I? I'm having a hard time tracking it down.

I've have no clue what your talking about, but was it the year (I'm guessing 2001) and was it the cover or just an ad within the magazine. I'll help you look.

It may not have been Variety, but I swear that I remember seeing it on the cover and having "For Your Consideration" somewhere on it. It was very detailed and featured almost every major (and quite a few minor) characters from the show watching the fight from the ground or in buildings. Perhaps it's just a figment of my imagination ...

That's it! Not where I saw it to begin with, but that's the one. Thanks, Cap'n! Anyone else know where else this may have been featured? Was it in a past calendar as someone above stated? Was it a magazine cover like I had thought?

BIG EDIT: Arg, DogDoo beat me to some of them. I don't feel like going back and editing all of them out, so blah!   :p

You forgot some of the names Quimbly, but good job, they're pretty much all there. It's pretty much everybody we've seen from Season Two, including the number 9 guy!

(alien woman above Slurm truck) That would be the Grand Council Woman from BBA
(pink robot)? The Crushinator (first appeared in The Series has Landed, but Season Two would be Lesser of Two Evils)
Slurms McKenzie (or someone else?) That's would be Glurmo
(I can't remember the refridgerator-like robot's name) That's Boxy, always the villian in All My Circuits
Hippie dude- Free Waterfall Senior (gets eaten by Lrr)
Old Lady- Hattie (annoying and in alot of episodes)
(Some guy hiding behind the "A" ) Looks like Professor Wernstrum

There's also a couple more, like the ameoba woman who won the beauty pagent (LO2E), Anglelyne from Bendless Love, Sal and Petunia, Fishy Joe, Mayor Poopenmeyer w/Brain Slug, and Mom with her 3 sons (The only son's name I can remember right now is Larry) and the hair robot (I'm a pretty girl!) I love that line. And the Hyperchicken.

Whew, that was long. I probably missed one or two, and probably mentioned one already mentioned. Oh well. That is definitly a cool picture, though.

Wow, thanks guys.  Yes, I believe my omissions were a combination of laziness and eye strain.  Thanks!

I'll have to watch season 2 again and brush up on my characters!  I missed a few names, for sure...

There's some really cool art on those covers.
Apparently, I wasn't the first to come up with the Pyrate angle.
And there's at least two versions of the gang as the X-Men.
And a tip of the hat to DC's J'onn J'onzz the Martian Manhunter on one of the covers as J'onzzon & J'onzzon Cotton Swabs.

Here's where you'll find all the links to all the covers, by season, disc, and artist.

Hmm, I can't seem to find this x-men image that you're talking about.  How about a direct link there?

Folow my original link.
Click on:
Covers von Mentorian
then click on Mentorian Staffel 3 then CD15
That's one.
Then click on Mentorian Staffel5 then CD 23.
That's the other.
I gotta do all the work?

Well, I'm not used to people posting treasure hunts when I ask for a specific link.  Plus, I don't read German, so it's confusing as it is...

Anyways, thanks.

I don't speak a word of German either, but I can use a mouse.
I might learn some German tonight, though, as I'm meeting a complete stranger from another forum from Germany for dinner in about two hours.
What's really funny is Hermes as Storm.

Agh. The German hurts my brain. >_< Anywho, that X-men pic is from the comic, no? (Actually, yes, 'cause I have that one.) But what exactly is on those CDs, anyway?
