5th Season

First of all I have not posted on PEEL for lots of months, for various reasons e.g new college, hw etc. so forgive me if this is out of place but I had a question that I thought only the community of nerds I used to call my home could answer. Secondly, my point, I have heard various rumours from various people about a fifth season of Futurama being made just for us Brits because of dvd sales. I was sceptical about this but then I heard it from more and more people and needed an answer. As far as I know this would be the best place to get an answer and any comments would be appreciated.
Thirdly I like the word various.

Short answer: no.

Slightly longer answer: various rumours have cropped up over the last 5-6 months about FOX taking up production again due to DVD sales, Adult Swim ratings, UFO's, BigFoot's birthday, etc. but they have all been unfounded. CGEF even got into contact with Cohen to ask him if any of it was true, and he completely denied each and every rumour. There are currently no plans for a 5th season. If the new season of Family Guy is a hit, and the Futurama DVD's continue to show strong sales in the States then maybe FOX will take a chance on Futurama as well, but before the new Family Guy season airs, nothing will change.
