Maybe not the entirely right thread to post in--is there also a The Simpsons in Futurama thread here? Oh well. I've been watching the 3rd season of Simpsons lately that we got borrowed, and couldn't help but noticing a few things.

The quote "It's like there's a party in my mouth and everyone's invited!" was used two times, I believe, in that season. And as we know, Fry said that in PL with a slight twist: "--and everyone's throwing up!" Funny.

I also saw that sign "Lose weight now, ask me how" in some ep there. Wasn't there also on in APTR? Anyhoo.

I'm not sure if anyone had mentioned this but futurama is in the simpsons several times, for example....

1.In one of the couch gags in Season 7, Homer,Marge(who's holding Maggie), and Lisa come through the the tubes(in Futurama) and instead of Bart coming through Fry does.

2.While Homer, Marge, and the kids are renting a video you can see a blury poster that says futurama with fry and bender on it directly behind them.

3.In and episode when the Simpsons look into the future, a older version Homer and Bart drive through a dark tunnel and when they come back through Bender is in the car with them.

4.In one of the episodes a teenager his on a cliff, commiting suicide and with his last words he screams out "Why did you cancil Futurama"

5.In episode where they attend a com-con, where Matt Groening is signing autographs, Milhouse walks up to him with a little bender toy and says "Can you sign my Bender doll"

6.In an episode when the Simpsons get cable, Bart goes nuts in class and all the t.v people apear and one of them is bender.

^ Funny how the list and everyone elses' mentions neglected the one episode where Bender actually has a line in the Simpsons voice by John Dimmagio himself. Finally someone posts it.

I forgot to mention in my post that ther was a simpsons episode when t.v was holding a telethon, I guess for shows who are on the verge of getting canciled, and bender is one of many who are answering the telephones

It's Season 12. Futurama didn't exist when Season 7 of The Simpsons was around...

Le BUMP.

I was flipping through the channels a few minutes ago and saw that one of the local stations was playing a Simpson episode ("Homer of Seville") that I'd never seen before.  I was going to flip past it, since I've all but given up on the show at this point, but I was bored and decided to give it a chance.

At one point, the episode cuts to Burns and Smithers organ shopping in the Springfield General morgue.  And I immediately noticed the first body they passed.  I thought I was just seeing things, but I found the clip on Hulu and... now I'm not sure:

Am I insane, or does that look like Fry? :hmpf:  Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I couldn't find anything on it.

No. That body has brown hair, shaped completely unlike Fry's. The nose is wrong. The skin tone is wrong.

First, I doubt you're insane... ah... well, any more insane than the rest of us - but, no, that doesn't look like Fry.
Second, it does, however, have a certain vague resemblence to his brother, Yancy.
I'll just ooze back out under the morgue door now...

Actually, I thought it looked like Yancy at first glance, too. XD

The skin didn't throw me off because 1) all of the bodies seem pale, what with being dead and 2) the yellow skin would have made things off anyway.  But I concede that the hair and nose are off model and the former's not orange enough to be Fry's.

So, um, nevermind.  :o

In "That 90's Show" there is a line "a struggling Matt Groening created Futurama" and in the latest Simpsons video game you fight Bender and Zoidberg in one of the levels.

They used a joke where Homer wakes up after having a nightmare and complains that he will not be able to go to sleep again and immediately goes back to sleep in The Simpsons and reused it in Futurama where Fry does the exact same thing.

Tonight there was a Simpsons / Futurama cross-over episode, also featuring a joke along the lines of Groening's books "Childhood is Hell", "School is Hell", "Work is Hell" ...

And it only took them 10 years after this thread was created to make the crossover episode!

Someone at The Simpsons has been delving through our archives ;)
