Mwah hah hah! Season four DVDs now all in my hands as I type (well, not literally, that would make the typing a bit hard). Anyway, I watched 'Spanish Fry', the one episode I'd missed (man, to think *that* was the last ever new Futurama episode I'll see...), and went through the extras. The deleted scenes are the usual mixed bag (some funny stuff, some that falls flat, and the secondary characters, as ever, take the brunt). The CG models are interesting for the hardcore - the PE ship and Planet Express neighbourhood are worth a look for the details, but some of the models are one-shot jobs that elicit a shrug (what, no mobile oppression palace?). The 'how to draw characters' sheets are limited to Bender and the Professor (good job I self-taught myself how to draw Amy ), and the pencil tests are a *very* random assortment of animated sketches. I've only listened to disc 1's commentaries so far - good stuff and fairly focused, though if the other seasons are anything to go by, they'll get more random as they go on. Fun to have Kristen Gore tell us exactly what her dad thinks of the show, though! Haven't found any Easter eggs yet, though there are supposedly some there. Will report back when I find anything!

That's an easter egg (like the S3 discs), and is almost certainly audio only (table reads being taped, not videoed).

In care of this thread, a quick question for Payndz: are the discs region 4 compatible? ie. is the Aussie copyright warning still there?

Thanks Teral.
Payndz - I would really appreciate an answer re-Region 4. As I recall the only way to tell is to look at the warnings when it loads up. Is there an Australia/New Zealand one?

Sounds good stuff, this is the series I'm most looking forward to getting on DVD as I've only seen a few episodes, all the other series I'd seen all or most of before buying the DVD.

Who'da thought their government was the MPAA's bitch?)
As for 'TDH...' deleted scenes - yup, four in all. (Pretty short, though.) Huhwhat? I live in NZ, and this'll be the second futurama DVD set I'm importing - the previous one didn't cause any problems, and I don't anticipate any from this, either - not to mention a couple of seasons of M.A.S.H. I'm importing for my parents for christmas. What's this about it being illegal to import DVDs? Edit: I just looked up the legislation, and it's not quite as bad as it sounded initially: It only applies to theatrical releases, and private importation is excluded from the bill. So really, you only have to worry about it if you're a company wanting to parallel import. (That still sucks for buying DVDs locally, though :/) Edit 2: Oh, and I forgot to say: It only applies for 9 months after the theatrical release of a movie.
