I Think If They Ever Make Another One They Should Make Its Cutscenes Like The Simpsons Game But Have Gamplay Like A Grand Theft Auto Sort Of Free Roam. Do What You Want When You Want. Imagine Flying The Planet Express Ship Around New New York As Bender Or Even Going To The Sewers And Exploring The Mutants Houses.

^ Yes! Oh great Freako, I implore you to make another Futurama mod of GTA called Grand Theft Astro!
Hold your horses Jezzy, I'm already working on something along the lines of Left 4 Dead (Working Title: Left Fry Dead)

I certainly wouldn't say no to a new Futurama game - I just upgraded to a 120GB PS3, so until they come up with the rumoured backwards-compatible patch, I'm Futurama-less. As for sandbox-style...I dunno. It's an interesting idea, but you'd need more than just NNY to make it work - and a certain amount of structure isn't a bad thing. I say this after playing the new Wolfenstein all week; freedom to explore is all well and good, but it does get tiring having to go over the same ground again and again in the course of missions. Having an overarching theme in there to give the player at least a general idea of what to do in what order would cut way down on the frustration factor. Of course, having the show's sense of humour in there as well would take the edge off; Wolfenstein has no discernible sense of humour - at all. (Really, it doesn't; it has sh*tloads of blood, but not so much as a giggle in sight.) In conclusion, I dunno; if they did it right, sure, why not. If not...ergh.

No, It wasn't. It was just a trick they did by duplicating the character meshes, expanding them turning them black inverting them with enabled back face culling, which has nothing to do with shading. Example: Though the video cut scenes were cel-shaded because they were pre-rendered. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

As a result cutscenes = cel-shaded, game play = cel-shaded - 1

Have you played Grand Theft Auto? What about The Simpsons: Hit & Run?
I have played H&R...and didn't really like it. There were some interesting things in there, but there was no structure - hell, there was even less structure than in Wolfenstein, where you at least slowly get some idea of what the big picture is, and therefore what you should be trying to do, and in what order. The ability to run around NNY and interact with all sorts of people and things would be cool, but I think the game would need some kind of structure or narrative thread, as opposed to just 'go nuts'. Say, having a To Do list each day, tailored to what character you are - and what happens next depends on what your character did/n't do that day, and in what order. Otherwise, you're just wandering around mindlessly - and even Fry, mindless though he can be, has some structure to his day.

Here's something you may or may not find interesting, In the commentary for The Futurama game's cut scenes on the Beast With A Billion Backs DVD, David Cohen said when they first got the cut scenes in he sent a note back saying "This looks bad, make it better" Well If you compare the cut scenes from the game with that from the trailer of the Futurama game from season 4 disc 4, you really always should give that note. hah.
