The new arty thread free for all.

Zed's latest brilliant creation, carried over from the previous thread. Now lay some praise on him, ladies and gentlemen.

It appears, but I had to right click the X and choose "Show Picture" to make it appear   :hmpf:

Great picture, but I am wondering what inspired this composition?  It impresses me as deciededly "Russian" in appearance.

Not that that's bad, not at all, in fact it makes it all the more apeeling    :D

That's really cool Yorokobi. The effect behind her is a nice touch  ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone, sorry it's not showing for all, I think it's a problem with VillagePhotos or something. :hmfp:

I've done lots of Russian flavoured pics of Leela, but this particular pic is partly inspired from a western film that I don't know the name of, but can hazard a guess was a Sergio Leone film with music by Ennio Morricone (though it was definitely not one of the Dollars films)

I was originally going to have a bright background, but I messed up the effect, but actually really liked what I had done with it, so I kept it  :)
Where are they going? Nowhere in particular I guess.  :)

Looks good, Yorokobi. Nice effect, give it a timetravelling feel. The lines could be smoother, but that'll happen by itself soon.  :)

Looks cool, chickuaua. I like the 3d feel your scans have. Nice!  :)

I agree, that's great work chickuaua. The shading is absolutely fantastic and I love the way you removed the outlines yet it still (or even more so) looks wonderful!  :D

This is what I did instead of sleeping tonight, after getting boozed up, with loud music blasting, and with no lights in the room other than the computer monitor:

And now I'm going to pass out on the keyboard. More "art" to come when/if I wake up.

Damn, Anarchist's pictures aren't working on my computer...   :(

But all the other pictures loaded fine, and they're all great - good work Zed, Yorokobi and Chickuaua! Hopefully Anarchist's pics will work later on though...

Anyway, I figured I'd post a little scanart I made last night. It's probably going to look crap being surrounded by all these awesome Futurama pictures, but still, here it is:

Nice work, Beamer. If I may make a suggestion, blow the image up to a really large size (I usually go with 1000%) before tracing it, and then resize it to the desired size when you're done. The lines come out smoother that way.

And it's strange that you can't see my pics. Can you see them here?

EDIT: And here's another scan from me. I thought of adding some caption to this one, but then decided against it.

Ask, and you shall receive.
Wallpapers of "Bad Girl" are now available:
1024x768
1280x1024
1600x1200

EDIT:
Here's my latest scan. I've tried new methods and played around with various combinations of different effects here. Took quite a bit longer than my previous ones.

Eh, seeing this is the General Art Gallery and I'm beginning to dominate it, should I start my own thread?

So do I. I can barely draw a stick figure. Tracing a framegrab and applying various PSP filters to it isn't as difficult as it may appear. All you need is patience and a little creativity. Try it!

PSP Filter? I can hardly spellPSP filter! I have no means of producing art on computer, and barely know the rubber end from the pointy end of a pencil!
Much as I'd like to be able to draw well, I have a handicap: Abject lack of talent! All I have to work with are my words so it seems a better use of my time is in fanfics. So, it seems I must settle for painting word pictures. Fortunately, I'm told I do a reasonably good job of that...
Now where did I put that story...
